House tour

Outside

This is the outside of the house, when you first drive up, it don't look so nice outside but when you walk in, you can see the true beauty.

Our patio furniture and pool

Then we have the entrance on the side of the house

KITCHEN
fron the entryway you come into the kitchen, i am in love with the wide open kitchen that i have, compared to the last house which was so small
This is the cabinet I have wanted for a long time, was so excited to get it, when you look closely it is very antique looking and i love it, the table also matches it

Kitchen pic 1, the little table is just a little breakfast nook...

this is the other end of the kitchen, i have a dishwasher- Thankful for that, dishes are so easy now, we all take our dishes to the dishwasher and it takes little to no time to fill it.

This sign was painted by a friend " There are no strangers here, just friends who haven't met yet"
it is so true about our house because we love people and we want to make friends with everyone.

Dining Room

Our Bedroom

My big dresser- finally i have a lot of room to properly sort my clothes

I love the light in our room, its like a paper feel

Our closet, not really big enough but we can manage, having the shelves helps off course

Hubbynero's(means hes hot like a hot pepper, haha) dresser- he likes most of his clothes hung so he will never fill this, i might take it over, LOL

We have a big window in our room, so these curtains cover it and make it dark to sleep in

Brooke's room

Brooke's closet- i like the room she has here

we have her room decorated in Pink and Zebra- we love it, waiting on new bedding now

her book shelf and her suitcase still not all unpacked :p

her dresser with lots of room

BATHROOM
I love our big jacuzzi, i have used it 2x already, i always like to take a bath on Saturday night and watch a movie while i soak.

I wish we had a double sink, but i still like it, there will be the 2nd bathroom downstairs in a few weeks

some decor in the bathroom

Down stairs
our propane fire place down stairs

the laundry room- nothing exciting happening here :)

I will post more later when i have access to our extra bedroom, we have a guy living with us now, he moves out this weekend

Wednesdays for Women

Just for Women Wednesdays- to inspire and encourage.

The Carrot, the Egg and the Coffee Bean

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling.
It seemed that, as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans.
She let them sit and boil, without saying a word. In about twenty minutes, she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me, what do you see?"
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," the young woman replied. The mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity - boiling water - but each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened! The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" the mother asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"  Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong but, with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat?  Did I have a fluid spirit but, after a death, a breakup, or a financial hardship, does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavour.
If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?

Weekend Recap

Friday:
It was a great sales day at work for me, i got 6 sales( as Billing rep, we only need 2 per day, so i went way over today, but its extra money for bonus time) left work at 2 for treatment ( 18 more), Andrew picked me up at 4 to run around like crazy to do a bunch of errands, first stop Walmart for some groceries, mainly snacks for day care and cereal etc, spent $40 on 5 bags of groceries so it was a good shopping day there, then we went to get things i needed for the pool party on Saturday, our colors are black and bright pink- same as Brooke's room, i cannot believe its her 10th birthday party now.....
I had this idea for loot bags
( it has a thank you for coming note) but because Summer is almost over there was no pool noodles in the city, so instead i decided to do a candy buffet and i have some lip gloss and bracelets to add to the loot bags.
Brooke had her friend Elizabeth stay over all night, those two play so well together
it is so nice to see them playing and hanging out, they have had Brooke over every week for a few now, they might become BFF =)
Watched a movie and went to bed a little to late but i stayed up later because of the nap I had earlier.

Saturday:
Not a lot of sleeping in today
Woke up with a headache, so i did take a nap before the party happened..
Jen who helped me out and who i appreciate so much arrive at 2 pm,
Brooke had a face time chat with our friend back in Newfoundland, this is the first party she missed so she wanted Brooke to open her present before the kids arrived

there were tears shed on both sides :( She loves Brooke a lot and the feeling is mutual

Here are some pictures from the party

Friday's Faboulous Blessings

Yesterday I listed my "Trouble Thursday, Today i want to change that attitude to something Positive
1) I am so blessed by the incredible family that i have gotten in contact with thru blogging, it really is great to know that even though those ladies are so far away, I can send an email and within an hour or so, I get a reply back from them telling me to cheer up, they are rooting for me etc, I love you Ladies, YES, you who are reading this, Thank you all for being so sweet and kind
2) My Husband- ya know since this severe anxiety has begun, i am glad im not married to me, I would'nt deal with it at all, but he is so calm and a peace keeper, he works hard to provide for us, he has started hosting websites so if you need a hosting, let me know he is super cheap too, i am working 2 full days a week, then i work 2 half days til 2 pm because i have treatment, i like the schedule but it makes for a smaller pay cheque which i dont enjoy, but thankfully he makes good money and its all ok.
3) My Daughter- How did i ever get so lucky to be a momma to the greatest 10 year old ever, off course there comes with her age the attitude of a soon to be teenager but i hear so many compliments from other people when she goes to their house how polite she is, how mannerly and such a great helper, it makes this momma proud to know I am doing something right :)
4) Co Workers- I have been blessed with some of the greatest co workers ever, it has only been 3 months but some of us feel like family, it is awesome.
5) TGIF- I am so glad that its Finally Friday... not that i can have much sleep this weekend because i do have a birthday party for Brooke tomorrow, but I am so happy to not have work for 2.5 days, i get off at 2 pm every friday :)
Whats some of the blessings in your life on this Faboulous Friday

Terri's Thursday Troubles

Terri's Thursday Troubles
- This day is far to long, it feels like 3 in 1, i will be happy when 5:30 comes
- My shoe broke- its a flip flop and the piece that goes between the toe broke- aww, its hard walking
- Have 10 little ladies coming on Saturday for Brooke's 10th Birthday party
- I am sitting here in a lot of pain- i think 90% of my flare ups are work related and stress, i had a rough time on Tuesday night, i got my treatment done and my bladder spasmed while getting treatment, it threw the catheter across the room, which put me into a flare up, last time this happened was because i had an infection, went to the ER and sure enough i have a bladder/kidney infection, i had a high fever and blood pressure was to the roof, the nurse gave me blood work and her watch caught on the needle and rip the needle out, talk about hurting, you would think there was a murder scene with blood flying everywhere, my poor arms
- i have been on hold for 20 mins with my mentor team, trying to get a work order to work out, thankfully they are doing it and i am sitting here blogging :p
- have to go grocery shopping tonight- Sigh, not my favorite thing to do for sure.

Wednesdays for Women

Wednesdays for Women- to uplift and encourage

I was browsing facebook and i came across this, it is so very true and i think we should all read this

Written by a 90 year old

This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!!

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio .

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short – enjoy it.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don't worry, God never blinks.

16.. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19.. It's never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you need

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Introducing Being the Mrs

Today I introduce to you Megan- her blog is so much fun and i am glad she is the winner of the giveaway i hosted for my 1 year blog-a-versary

1) When and Why did you begin blogging?

. I initially started blogging so friends and family could keep up with my husband and our married adventures in.  His family lives in Southern Nevada, my family is spread from Southern Nevada to Northern Nevada to Utah to Texas.  We live in Wyoming, so it seemed fitting to have a blog for our friends and family to be able to keep up with our busy lives.  The blog was created in July 2012, but I didn't really begin "blogging" until earlier this year.

2) What do you hope to see your blog become?

I hope to have my blog become a place for people to come together and celebrate life.  I hope readers will read my blog and have a laugh, feel someone else is going through the same trials they are, and maybe be able to make a few friends along the way.  Blogging is a great community of wonderful people sharing their lives together.  I hope people will come to my blog seeking that feeling of community, to connect with other people and to understand that we're all in this together (High School Musical Reference? Yeah, I went there)

3) What is your favourite blogging topic or topics?

blog about marriage, weight loss, successes, failures and everyday life as a working student and full-time wife.  I love sharing my life with others including tips on marriage, making healthy lifestyle changes, and balancing family with everything else happening in your life.

4) What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time?

I am a beginning quilter.  I love picking out fabrics, putting things together and making heirlooms that will stand the test of time. I'm still a beginner so I have lots to learn, but it is definitely my favorite hobby.

5) Tell me something funny about your self

I collect POP! Vinyl Bobbleheads.  They're adorable, cute and appeal to my geeky side.  For Christmas, the hubs got me a Princess Leia one!  It is definitely my favorite so far.  So, yeah, if you want to win my heart, get me a POP! brand Vinyl Bobblehead

Weekend Recap :)

Friday:

Back to work after 10 days of vacation, thankfully i got off at 2 for treatment, the nurses on 4W are so amazing to me, they really do care, and treat me so well when I'm there...I took this picture for Brooke she wanted me to take one for her
I will love when i can finally say my treatments are over forever, i am beginning to get the bad taste in my mouth from them now and I'm losing my hair slowly :(
Moses had a birthday today as well- we made him a cake and cooked chicken fettuccine for him, it was nice
just as amazing as it looks

I laid down for a "20" minute nap after dinner and woke up 4 hours later with a blog post on my  mind, it was things that i couldn't even get over it, i filled pages in my notebook, got out my bible and had scripture references going then i posted a short version on the blog, thank you for your kind comments and your love, it means a lot.
I couldn't fall back to sleep for a long time after that, i guess it was my combination of naps and a heavy heart

( my desk last night)

Saturday:

Brooke woke us up by crawling in bed with us, as much as i love her snuggles after a hard night of little sleep i didn't want to wake up that early :p
I slept for a while after that, then the phone rang and woke me up
figured i may as well get up and start my day, took sheets of the bed to wash and change them, cleaned my house with the help of Brooke, she loves to try and clean the bathroom- so i let her and she did a great job :)
I don't think it is every to early to let them help with chores.
We ran some errands after that, i needed to get some things for Sunday lunch because my sister and her hubby is doing the music at our church tomorrow so they are coming here for lunch and to hang out after service.
Talked to my aunt for a little bit, they were going to come visit but i didn't return the call early enough:(
Watched "Georgia Rule" it was a cute movie, i love having Netflix :)

Sunday:

Sunday school, we had all girls today, my sister and her husband did music for us at church today, it was nice, then they came here for lunch and we went swimming, chatted etc.
we all took naps they only got in from Kentucky at 3 am, so they were pooped( means tired )
Sister and I went into town before church, i needed to pick up a birthday cake for after service.
After PM service, everyone came over for a fire, swimming and funnnn <3 We have a great church family, it was a lot of fun. I couldn't find my phone so there was no pictures taken:(

The cold hard truth right from my heart

Tonight i just feel like writing
No idea who this is for
or maybe its just for me

a friend blogged and she got some thoughts swirling in my head, i was in bed but had to get up to write this...

sometimes we go thru things to help other people get thru things
I got diagnosed with one of the most chronic pains ever "IC" has it been easy,
NOT at all, in fact its depressing
the pain is so bad at times that i actually cry, i plead with God, why me, what did i ever do to deserve this...
no answer given except " he never gives us more then we can bear"
sometimes we feel we cannot bear any more,
sometimes i feel like i cannot handle another trip to the Emergency
sometimes i feel like i cannot handle another morphine shot where the next day i am feeling so sore, tired and moody
but ya know what
as long as i have breathe in me, I can get thru this
Besides he never gives us more then we can bear.

as humans we think what did i ever do to go thru this, why does she have to go thru what she goes thru, she is a pastors wife, shouldn't God allow her to be 100% healthy, she is working for his kingdom so don't it make sense for her to be done with this sickness ?

This song is on my mind:

When I've cried all i can cry
when i've prayed all i can pray
hear my heart
When there are no words to say
When there are no prayers to pray
hear my heart

When i first got diagnosed, i kinda laughed it off because i could do this, i could beat this, i was stronger and bigger then this, 6 months in i became very frustrated, very depressed and kept saying WHY God, WHY God
i felt like no one was in this place before, i felt so lonely, i felt so betrayed by God, {its OK to feel that way}that's why i started doing some research and i found out, there are a lot of people in the world that has this disease and every one feels the same way that i do, there is no cure, nothing that can take this away... so for the remainder of my life, I'm dealing with this condition unless God chooses to heal me, if he don't, i still have to trust him, i know he knows whats best for me, so i need to trust him completely.
This disease plays with your mind as any numbing pain disease does, but I've learnt to be quiet so God can hear my heart

Wednesdays are for Women

Welcome to another Wednesdays are for Women
( to uplift and encourage)
I am part of a word of the day group, meaning each day my Pastors wife in Newfoundland sends out an email to uplift and encourage, i love her writings and wanted to share this one with you.

John 8:11...And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Jesus doesn't condemn you but he does expect you to stop sinning. He will make you aware of sin, not to hurt you but so you can stop. If you are hurt or offended that is your pride being bruised and you need to rub the salve of humility on it.
Pride will make you defend your sin or blame others for it. Humility will enable you to see your sin and stop doing it.
