Confessional Friday

Another week, another time for a good confession time.
Linking up with Leslie

1) I am over winter- I have had more then enough, this girl feels like she is getting cabin fever, I have not been outside since Sunday except for about an hour last night when I went to kid’s church, but I need some warm weather to go for a long walk and soak in some vitamin D.  We got 5 storms in 10 days and I am ready for Spring, Summer and Fall but no Winter

2) I have been fighting a lot of anxiety and panic attacks, not sure where this came from- as it has never been this bad, but work is so stressful.

3) I am so thankful to all  you who prayed for my niece on Monday when she had her final mouth surgery, she came through with flying colours and is back to her playful self and picking on her sister ;)

4) I am still watching Grey’s and still loving it more and more, I do not want it to end.

5) Ya know what really bugs me- friend A- fb msgs me and ask me to lend her $1000, I say no as I don’t think friends should lend friend money.. fast forward a few days… Friend A fb again and and ask for $100, i did lend the $100 but I am not making this a habit at all.

Decorating on a budget

When i moved into this house, all I wanted to do was to decorate the master bedroom, to make it cozy and romantic, something like this:

I would like to have a bedroom like this, but without the yellow, i was thinking red/grey/black.

I love the chairs at the bottom of the bed though, it just looks so inviting, so us, so romantic.

If you are on a budget, you can find gorgeous furniture at different places such as Thrfit stores, yard sales,  furniture outlets, the dollarama here as alot of awesome wall hangings etc.

This is what I want to use for decor

You can fix it up to make it look perfect with a good cleaning, some scrubbing, some painting, and you can have the pieces you want for cheap, cheap cheap.

Here are some things to remember when you are decorating on a budget

1) Search your city for yard sales, and auctions - You do not have to break the bank for furniture to look nice.

2)  Create a perfectly sized area rug without breaking the bank. Any carpet dealer can cut and bind regular broadloom carpet to a custom size.

3) Make your storage places stylish - we all need it so why not make it beautiful

4) Use up all the scraps, you can make beautiful things from the scrap

5) Decorate for you and your family- Don't worry about what the neighbours has, do what you want.

6) Dont be in a hurry, shop around until you find what you are looking for, dont be in a hurry and not be happy with the turn out.

7) Have fun- don't do things if it isn't fun, what is the point if your not happy, you wont like the decor.

In the End, be happy with your room, you are the one who is living there after all.

Christ Centered marriage

Marriage is such a sacred union it's used many times in the Scriptures to describe that high and holy relationship between Christ and His church.

The husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands are to love their wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it so ought men to love their own wives.
Husbands ought to nourish and cherish their wives just like Christ loves and cherishes the church.
Men ought to leave their fathers and mothers and cleave to their wives.
Wives are to respect their husbands.

Worship and serve God faithfully.  “Heirs together of the grace of life,” I Peter 3:7.

Pain

How I'm doing

Mentally- it is taking it' toll on me.  I know there are people in the world who just got news they have cancer etc,  there are people who just got news their loved ones have passed.... People have said " I look okay", yeah I may look ok on the outside, physically inside I'm broken, my bladder is broken, I do not live a normal life because this disease controls how I feel, controls if I 'can' be social or not, there are times I really want to but I cannot force myself out of bed.  My bad days are entered around hot Epsom salt bath, lots of medication, heating pads, there is also days of missing work  and this off course could result in losing my job.....

I used to be a happy person, a person who loved to laugh, loved to be with friends and was not stressed at all....
Now I'm usually stressed because I never know when pain could come, it can be caused by certain foods or drinks
No spicy foods, no tomato sauce, no salsa, no caffeine, no flavored (fruit)juices, no orange juice, no oranges, no pizza, nuts, salad dressings, no breads except rye because of the white or whole wheat flours, no rice
That leaves very little that I can eat or drink , here is a more detailed list

Emotionally- I feel like I fail as a wife- my hubby did not have a sick wife when he married her, I have not been sick with this- no he does not complain, but being intimate and then have paid, really scares ya away from being in the mood.... sorry for the TMI

Last monday I saw a new doctor- she prescribed a new medication that has to be sent from the US, it has a lot of scary side effects but I am willing to try it. She is hopeful that it will work for me, it freezes the bladder and takes the pain away, it is better then the other medication they have me on.

Thank you for those who asked about me, it means a lot

6 Signs your marriage may be headed for trouble

1. YOU NEVER COMMUNICATE: Talk. Check in with each other regularly. Be sure to verbalize what's wrong, but also what's right with the relationship. Discuss what to do to make you both happy. If you're having trouble communicating, get professional help from a marriage counselor or therapist.

2. YOU ARGUE ALL THE TIME: No one wants to fight all the time. It just takes all the fun and joy out of your relationship. It also can make you both bitter and angry. Pick your battles carefully. There are ways to disagree, so that you are respectful and you both hear each other out. Also, you can learn to agree to disagree on certain topics.

3. YOU ARE HIDING THINGS FROM ONE ANOTHER: Honesty and openness is what your marriage is built on. When you start hiding things like text messages, friendships with the opposite sex, etc ... you start setting relationship up for HUGE trouble.

4. YOU CONSTANTLY SPEND MORE THAN YOU MAKE: Making money mistakes - failing to get out of debt, spending what you don't have, or making poor investments - is cause for more arguing and sometimes a break down of communication (the other killers on this list).

5. YOU STOP PURSUING ONE ANOTHER: By far, one of the easiest ways for couples to kill their marriage is when they stop pursuing one another. Your goal everyday should be to work just as hard to keep your spouse as you did to win him/her in the first place. Never get comfortable in your marriage by just thinking, "I don't have to work at it ... everything will be fine on its own."

6. YOU'VE STOPPED HAVING SEX: A marriage without sex can definitely wither and die, especially if one of the people in the marriage is unhappy about this. Sex is what separates the marriage relationship from other relationships you have. Don't forget ... never ever give up on your marriage. Work hard to fix any area that may be broken.

Weekend Recap

Friday:
Worked til 6 pm but it was such a slow day so I may have watched Grey's most of the day, I wish I could clean my house or something but I can't because my headset isn't cordless.
Brooke was invited to a sleep over party,so it started snowing just before I got off work, we were gonna go into town for a date but the roads were already slick, so we dropped Brooke off and went to a little restaurant just up the street from us and I had the best Chef salad I have ever had
there was: Ham, roast beef, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, egg, cucumber, cheese, carrot, I had catalina dressing on it..
Came home watched greys, talked to my mom and my friend Diane.
Then
my pain started..
my bladder flared up- i think it hated me because of the salad dressing, but I am not sure what caused it...
it lasted til around 2:30 am.. i was ready to go to the ER but thankfully it settled.
I cannot wait til my new medication arrives and we get this taken care of.

Saturday:
Our weather for the day was:

and boy did we ever get it... it was a nasty winter storm, we stayed inside all day, thankfully Brooke was brought home by the guy in the picture with the plow on his truck, we got buried  and another storm coming on Tuesday

Sunday:
Woke to a beautiful bright sunshine-ey day...
thankful to see that beautiful red hot ball in the sky especially knowing we are in for another storm this week..
We took our pastor and his family out for dinner, we have been meaning to do it since Dec for Christmas but because of our schedules we never got to do it until today, it was a good time.
A friend called me up and told me to come by she had something for me
My favourite- Home made coconut cream pie - so delicious, so so delicious

I wanted to show you what the snow banks are like here

and my sister sent me this
3 days shy of 4 months. She makes my heart melt.

Have a great week, we are going to be snowed in over here again this week, let's hope it isn't to bad.
