All about me and mine- Answer 3

A few weeks ago I opened up my blog and Instagram and allowed you to ask any questions that you would like to know about me...
DANA  asks: Favorite kind of coffee? I am not a coffee fan at all, every so often I will want a coffee with some flavored coffee cream such as Bailey's, french vanilla or hazelnut. I just like the flavor of the coffee but I do not like the after taste of coffee.
Tea is a different story... I love Tea.. I drink multiple cups per day.  I just put 2 sugar and milk and oh my it is yummy.  Across from my work is a Tim Horton's which I am not sure if all of you beautiful Americans have ever had Tim's. They do have them in NY and Boston I know that from my cross US trip 2 years ago, it was a welcoming sight when I saw that beautiful sign.
I also love David's Tea  and Steeped Tea.  When I go out for coffee with a friend to Starbucks, I always get a vanilla bean frappicino.

5 Daily health habits you should have- Guest post

5 Daily health habits you should have

In the 1930s, British economist John Maynard Keynes predicted that in the near future, the time allotted to working will be cut down to as short as three hours and our vacations will be longer. But even with the power of technology in forms of rapid transport, mass production facilities, and high-speed information exchange, it seems that people in the present have ironically less time for themselves than in the past. Most of the younger population stay up late playing video games, interacting with friends in social media, and doing schoolwork. Adults, on the other hand, feel more stressed juggling their careers, interests, and family matters. These may lead to our mental and physical health being compromised.

Most of us would believe that as we progress in our career, our time for ourselves becomes shorter. But realistically speaking, the perception of being busy is sometimes a result of having more leisure time and less time for things that matter more such as our health. The truth is, you do not need as much time in a day to keep your health in its top shape. Check out these 5 daily health tips that you should make a habit for a healthier and longer life.

1. Eat a balanced meal 5 times a day.

No, you do not need to starve yourself with three servings of plain fruits and vegetables in a day just to stay healthy. If you do not have hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and other illnesses, eating a balanced meal in three regular portions and two smaller ones (in between) is highly recommended.

Base your meals on fiber-rich foods and complex carbohydrates such as sweet potatoes, yam, oatmeal and brown rice. Mix a single serving of protein such as nuts, fish, and chicken meat. Also avoid eating foods that are rich in LDL cholesterol, saturated fats, sodium, and sugar. Stick more to whole foods, less on supplements, and never skip breakfast!

2. Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep.

Many people fail to get 8 hours of sleep daily because of the several distractions that throw their body clocks off the natural rhythm  It was found that eating your dinner and finishing all heavy tasks at least two hours before bedtime can help you fall asleep faster. Installing relaxing dim lights, using aromatics, and playing soft music can also help you get into a deep sleep and feel energized the next day.

3. Exercise more.

Employees spend roughly 8 to 15 hours a day sitting on their chairs with minimal physical movement. This habit can lead to muscle and joint pains, obesity, and even cardiovascular diseases. Stand and stretch at least every thirty minutes of sitting to improve blood circulation. Sign up for workout programs and join fitness groups too!

4. Take a deep breath.

It may not be that usual health tip you often read, but breathing deeply can instantly shut off stress response from quick and shallow breaths we make unconsciously. During the morning or anytime you feel you like to, close your eyes, take slow deep breaths and let the feeling of body relax naturally.

5. Check your sexual and reproductive health.

You do not always need to go to the doctor to check for the early signs of sexually transmitted diseases. While taking a shower, you may check for the presence of bumps, warts, blisters, and rashes in your genital area. Blood and unusual discharge from the penis or vagina are also indicative of STDs. If you feel pain, itching, tingling, or burning sensation in your genital area, get an STD test immediately. Living with Chronic Pain

If you ask me any given day how I am feeling... Oh I am good or I am fine, when deep down I just wanna lay my head on your shoulder and sob because I am tired of this pain, it has been 7 years this coming October and I have no idea how I have made it thru thus far.

It is so tiring to hear people try to "diagnose" you with their work from home business and I am not bashing any of those things because like us all I have tried it, the only thing that sounds promising right now is Young Living, I know several people who have tried this and it has helped.  People are always saying as well go talk to a naturopath, well I have been told by my family dr that this is not the case and I trust her 100% and her decisions for my health. ( by no means am I knocking naturopaths)

I don't want to come off as a "complainer," a "Debbie Downer," "needy," etc.  Let's be honest everyone wants to be around positive people, no one wants to be around the girl they think is "whining" all the time about how they feel, even if that girl is one thousand percent justified in that "whining," "complaining," or whatever else she wants to do or say about her chronic illness.  Can this really suck sometimes and not be fair?  Of course, but unfortunately it's the reality of things and how the world works.

I get bored and more frustrated when I talk about me and the pain I am in daily.  I would much rather hear of happy up beat positive things.   If I am having a rough day, I just want to say I am fine and have that part of the conversation over.

This weekend I had several people tell me they felt like my pain was all in my head, I wanted to slap them, and wish this pain on them but this pain is not a pain that I would share with anyone.

I am not asking for pity or for you to feel bad for me, no all I am asking is for you to pray for me as depression over chronic pain is very real, right now I come home from work and get my pj's on and I do not want to talk to anyone, I lay on my bed and watch netflix, some hospital shows in case someone on there has this same type of pain and I can learn something.

It is hard to believe it has been 7 years and other times it feels like it has just begun as I feel like I am still no further ahead with help. Have tried much medication and not one thing is helping.  It is so hard

This life i live- Book review

I knew before I started reading this that it was going to be an amazing book.
I became fans of Rory and Joey while she was sick, then became so sad when she passed away.

Rory Feek and his late wife Joey were a country duo that took the world by storm. Singing, guitar playing, and love werent the only things that got attention for the couple. The fact that they lived such a basic life really caught the admiration of their fans. They lived on a farm, and grew their own food, which created a wonderful tv show that boasted many viewers. Then tragedy hit the couple, when Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer shortly after having their daughter, Indiana. You may have heard of the news on Facebook, you may have even followed their story, and when Joey passed away, you may have even heard their songs on the radio. Now, Rory is telling the story of his life before and after Joey- and how all roads seemed to lead to her.

Rory grew up with siblings and his parents in a run down farm house, he also moved A LOT. His story is like many peoples, one in which he had to dig deep and work hard to get where he was going, but it was a triumphant story. Especially the part about his ex wife leaving him and his daughters in Hawaii to fend for themselves. Rory raised his daughters alone, and then he met Joey who instantly fell in love with him. Joey didnt want children, but soon took Rorys daughters under her wings. They became a little family of their own.

Then Rory and Joeys music started to get airtime, and they became a household name in the country world. The duo was hot, and they were creating much attention for themselves, living the dream.

I give this book a 5 out 5 stars.

An outlaw and a lady- book review

Colter’s often touching memoir is a fast-paced chronicle of her life, loves, and Christian faith. Colter gained fame as the wife of hard-drinking, wild-living country music outlaw Waylon Jennings, but music flowed in her life long before she met him.

Born the sixth child of a car repairman father and a preacher mother, Colter learned to love music very early, writing melodies on an upright piano in her mother’s church. Eventually she met and married rock guitarist Duane Eddy, who took her to Nashville to meet musician Chet Atkins. He got her songs recorded by country artists such as Dottie West and pop singers such as Nancy Sinatra.

After her divorce from Eddy, life moved quickly: she married Jennings, changed her name to Jessi Colter, and released her first album. Together, they made their home in Nashville which in the 1970s, was ground zero for roots music, drawing Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Shel Silverstein, and others to the Nashville Sound. And Jessi was at the center of it all, the only woman on the landmark Wanted: The Outlaws album, the record that launched the Outlaw Country genre and was the first country album to go platinum. She also tasted personal commercial success with the #1-single “I’m Not Lisa.”
