~Hello!

Welcome to my New Friends. I just wanted to take a minute and pop on to say Hello and Welcome to  my little spot in the blog world.
Hope we can become friends and "hang" out often.
I Wednesdays i host "Wednesdays for Women" which is a post where i encourage other women, up lift and make them smile, normally it is a quick little blurb, other days it can be longer, i hope you visit it tomorrow

I work full time so i dont blog every day, but several days out of the week I do,  so check back often, leave some love and will be around to follow all of you as well.

We are a family of 3, they are my whole world, my husband was my first and only ever boyfriend and i met him when i was 13, i knew from that instance that I would marry him,, and here we are almost 12 years later and i still get butterflies when he looks at me.

Brooke our only daughter, she is a ray of sunshine to us, she is 9, will be 10 in July {thinks she is 16}

1. What is a challenging thing that you deal with in every day life? i work in a customer contact centre, to hear people being negative and yelling at me for problems i didn't cause( they are not mad with me, but they only have me to yell at), i try to turn everything positive for them 

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? living life as a stay at home mom

3. Who has had a major impact on your life and why? my nana, she was my hero, she lived such a hard life but yet she always smiled. I miss her 

4. What's one thing you wish you could change about your life? my bladder disease.. i am having a hard time dealing with this lately 

5. What was your dream job as a child? a Nurse

6. What was your favourite activity as a child? every summer, i would visit cousins who lived away, it was always so much fun 

7. Where is your faith with God? I am a true believer of Jesus Christ, because who else can i have faith in, he is my Lord and Savior, he has brought me thru so much and continues to love me

8. Name 1 thing that you enjoy cooking and share the recipe. I love making lasagna, will share the recipe if anyone wants it  

9. What's one thing you wish you had learned by the time you were 18? the grass isnt always greener on the other side

10. If you do one thing that you normally dont do on a regular basis, what would it be? id ride in an hot air balloon every day

11. What's one chore you hate to do on a daily basis? i hate folding laundry and putting it away

12. If you had the money and could get your dream car, what would it be?  Titan

13. Name one book you can read over and over and it never gets old. anything by Karen Kingsbury

14. What's one movie you like to watch and it never gets old?  Gilmore Girls

i was there on sunday :) yes i plan to go back 

17. Do you diet daily and if so what kind of diet is it and what does it consist of? i just watch closely what im eating 

18. What's the craziest thing you did as a teen? went on motorcycle with my cousin, first and last 

19. What's the world "friendship" mean to you and do you have true friends that you can count on no matter what? I have a couple true friends that i know are there for me no matter what. I can tell them things that will never leave them

Weekend Recap

Work til 2:15, i had an exam, which i got 95% on, i should have gotten 100% as far as i am concerned, but i don't make the decision... 

My friend Amy dropped me off at the hospital for  my treatment so hubby didn't have to miss more time at work, they don't mind but i don't like him missing to much time for me, besides Amy was going that way so she didn't mind. 

I was again put with an amazing nurse, they are all so amazing here and for that i am very thankful. We need to be appreciative of our health care especially here in Canada where it is free. Hubby picked me up after the treatment and i needed to mail my Cara Box( yeah I'm late), also picked up some meat for a BBQ, it was way to warm to cook dinner in side, so hubby grilled while i slept the pain off because this one had to be the most pain yet.  , this picture is of me putting a good side out and remaining positive while in a lot of pain...

I then ate with the family and cleaned the kitchen- when men cook, they make a big mess...but I'm thankful he cooks and does a really good job of it. I watched "Like Dandelion Dust", wow, wow, wow, if you are a mom who adopted a child, you need to watch this, if you are the mom of a child that was adopted, this movie is for you, so powerful and make sure you keep Kleenex near by, because you will need it. 

could not sleep til 5 am, it was so warm and i guess it was the heat that kept me awake, i was not a happy camper. 

 The Final quizzing tournament of the summer, i am so glad that no more early mornings on Saturday for a tournament, but if there was it would be ok. 

all the winners, my girl got 3 trophies today, so very proud of her indeed. Well earned and deserved, she worked hard for this. 

After quizzing was over we went to visit some old friends, she was our bridesmaid, now she is married with 3 kids, we thought we were out there so why not go visit, 

She has a little boy with Down Syndrome, i immediately fell in love with him, he sat with me and i had to feed him etc, such a cutie. 

Her girls Harmony and Mackenzie. Those girls love Brooke as well. I am so glad she is such a likeable girl. 

We stayed and ate pizza and wings with them, we drank tea, we chatted, we laughed and had a great time. 

On the way home we saw this 

Mr Moose.. i am glad he was off the road and didn't bother coming closer ( Thank you Jesus) 

When we were almost home, we heard news that a tornado had possible touched down, 2 hours from where we were, Much to close for comfort, i found some pictures that people had posted on Facebook

We NEVER get Torndao's here and i hope we never do again. 

We also got delayed in traffic because of a vehicle accident , it looked so bad, i hope no one was seriously injured. 

Sunday School- my assitant teacher was gone, so i got one of the youth kids to help me. 

We came home from service and i made roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn and yorkshire pudding with gravy- Delicious. 

I then took a big nap and my hubby got groceries for me, i am so pooped from not sleeping well and sunday school always beats me out. 

Tomorrow is Monday again.... how fast the weekends go.Have a great week my friends

Hi sweetie pie, it’s auntie! I can’t believe today is your first birthday – it seems like just a couple of days ago, i got the call from Momma, telling me i was auntie to a precious little Princess.  

And today? You are walking! No more sleepytime on swaddled into a  Now I get to watch you grow into a chatty little girl, a beautiful one, at that.

And well, there are  a few things your auntie wants and hopes for you in the year (or years) to come. I wanted to share them with you here, so one day, we can look back on them together, hopefully ticking lots of them off the list, one by one….

…I want you to embrace your beauty, always.  I want you to be confident and happy and content with who you are: a beautiful, bubbly, loving daughter and niece.

…I want to take you on auntie dates – to the park, to the playground, on walks around the neighborhood, to get your first manicure. Would you like to do that with your auntie one day?

…I want to hear you say “Auntie Terri” – you know the minute you say it, you’ll melt my heart (and will get whatever you want from me after that!).

…i want to make  some chocolate chip cookies too…but only as a treat, maybe for your 2nd birthday. How’s that for a deal?

…I want to take you and Curtis to a hockey game one day. Maybe not now, but in a few years when you’re old enough to understand how the game is played 

…I want you to make your mommy and daddy proud. Every day. Show them how much you love them. Be a good girl for them. Play nice with your school mates. Bring home pretty pictures that you drew in class so they can cover their fridge with your paintings and drawings.

But most of all? I can’t wait to watch you blossom even more in the next year. You’ve already grown so much in the past few months even, I can’t imagine how much more you’ll change and grow. And I love that. You make me so very proud!
