Get Your Tastebuds Dancing

Your tastebuds are so reactive. Flavors can make us feel a way that nothing else can, especially if you're a bit of a food lover. If you love your food like we do, then now is the time to think about getting your tastebuds dancing. If you have been locked down for some amount of time now due to the new Covid-19 outbreak, you may have had more time on your hands than you ever would have thought. For most people this has led to exploring new things, and flavors should definitely be one of them. But we know that some people will have gone the opposite way. Even if you love food, you might have got to the point where you felt like you were cooking so much that you had to give up. You might have resorted to ready meals and things that are easy to cook. Falling into this routine is dangerous, and it can often lead to you falling out of love with food. So, we're going to try and inspire you to cook up a storm in the kitchen and get those tastebuds dancing.

Find A Liking For Spice

If you already love spice the next sections might be a better read for you. But we know the world is divided when it comes to spice. Some people think that spice is the best thing ever, and some think it's so overpowering and hot it takes the flavor and enjoyment out of eating. However, if you can introduce yourself slowly to spice, it might not be long until you realize that spices can actually enhance a dish, when you like it. Start off simple with a meal you know you love, but other people have hotter. A chilli is a great place to start, you can have it as mild as you like, adding more chilli's each time. Curry's are another easy way of being around food. Push yourself to try different foods and ways of cooking with them and we know you'll be introduced to a new world of food.

Source The Best Ingredients

If you're not cooking with great ingredients it really does affect the quality of the dish. When you start to pay for more expensive ingredients, you realize everything that you're missing out on. One of the easiest ways to do so is actually through the internet. You don't need to go to a fancy farmers market, you can order it from the comfort of your own home and it will still come to you fresh. Meat is a great example when noticing the difference in quality. Porter and York are just one brand you could use to source great quality meats, and with the weather so nice at the minute, there's no time like the present to get some good quality meat to stick on the bbq.

Experiment With Cuisines

Finally, make sure that you experiment with cuisines to see which ones you truly love. If you always stick to the same sorts of meals, using cuisines to experiment with how you cook is going to get those tastebuds dancing.

If you’re thinking of renovating your garage but don’t know where to begin then don’t worry, you have definitely come to the right place. Whether you’re looking to turn it into a home office or you’re going to be using it for storage, you need to be sure you’re doing all that you can to make the process run as smoothly as it possibly can. Luckily, there are lots of questions you can ask yourself to ensure exactly that. From deciding your overall budget to thinking about the materials you’re going to need, the more questions you’re asking yourself the easier it will be. With that in mind, here are 5 things to consider when renovating your garage:

What Is Your Overall Budget?

One of the first things you need to consider is your overall budget for the project, as this helps ensure you’re not spending more than you can afford. Whether you’re setting a budget right away or you’re looking at the costs of materials and labour first, you need to be sure you know exactly how much you’re going to be spending. If it helps, you may also want to consider a smaller contingency fund too.

For a guide to setting a budget for home improvements, you can visit this site here.

What Are You Going To Be Using It For?

Another important thing to consider is what you’re going to be using your garage for, as this will make it easier when it comes to planning the final details. From a playroom to storage space, there are lots of different options available to you. For inspiration when it comes to garage conversions, you can visit this site here.

What Materials Do You Need?

Once you know what you’re going to be converting your garage into, you need to think about the materials you’re going to need. From the materials needed to renovate your walls to the furniture you need to buy, the more prepared you are the better.

If you need assistance when it comes to choosing the best material for your walls, you may want to consider reading this post on Slatwall Vs. Pegboard: Which Is Better for Your Garage?

Do You Need To Hire Any Help?

Although you may be able to do most of the renovations yourself, you may need to hire contractors to help with specific elements. From electricals to plumbing, you can’t do absolutely everything.

How Long Is It Going To Take?

Finally, you need to think about whether or not you have a time limit on your renovation. Although this won’t give you a guaranteed completion date, it will definitely help motivate you to get it finished.

With lots of questions you can be asking yourself before you get started, you can be sure the process will run as smoothly as it possibly can. What else do you need to consider? Did we miss anything off of the list? Let me know your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below.

Luxury Additions to Consider for Your Garden

If you have a garden, you’re definitely lucky. Not everybody has the luxury of a private outdoor space available for their use around the clock. Of course, if you do have a garden, you’re probably going to want to make the most of the space that you have. Most people will start this journey by maintaining the space - cutting the grass, pulling the weeds, digging up some flower beds and watching a garden grow. But there are other additions you can implement into your garden space that will help it to stand out one notch above the rest! Here are just a few that will help you to really get the most out of your garden!

A Pool

Swimming pools tend to be more common in some countries than others. But regardless, they’re a definite luxury addition to any outdoor space. There’s a reason that many of us automatically associate them with the five star homes of celebrities. The great thing about having a swimming pool of your own is that they have extremely practical benefits as well as novelty benefits. When it comes down to it, swimming is a great form of full body exercise. Being able to swim a few widths or lengths without even having to leave your property every day is convenient and can boost your overall physical health and wellbeing. Just be aware that pools do require a fair bit of maintenance and you need to be sure you’re ready to commit to this before investing. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a dirty, disused eyesore in your yard.

A Hot Tub

Hot tubs are a purchase that are purely associated with luxury. They’re deeply enjoyable and have some soothing health benefits that you can really benefit from every time you sit back and relax in them. When most of us want to immerse ourselves in warm water, we’ll run a bath, throw in some bubble bath liquid, bath salts, or a bath bomb and sink in. But believe it or not, there’s a further upgrade to this pamper experience - the hot tub. A hot tub can provide you with this kind of experience but in an outdoor setting and with added bubble jets. It’s the perfect investment for anyone who wants to let their hair down. Now, let’s focus on the health benefits. A number of studies have been conducted into the health benefits of hot tubs and they have shown evidence that hot tubs can actually work to decrease your stress levels, soothe your aches and pains, encourage a better night’s sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, increase blood flow around the body, increase your range of motion, aid in weight management and weight loss and even improve your relationships with others. That’s a whole lot of pros! On top of this, hot tubs are great for entertaining guests. You can’t invite your guests into your bath, but you can all sit and chat in the hot tub with a drink together. If you do invest in a hot tub, make sure to have the details of a good Hot Tub & Spa Repair company at hand. They’ll be able to fix any issues that may develop over time.

A Gas BBQ

As the summer fast approaches, many of us may be turning our minds to hosting BBQs or other kinds of entertainment out back. Now, disposable BBQs do a job and will cook food. But generally, you can expect charcoal textured hot dogs or burgers that look a little unevenly cooked. If you plan to hold more than the off BBQ here and there, it’s a good idea to invest in a high quality, family size gas BBQ. This can be placed in your garden (with a good cover - just in chance of rain) and you can open it up and make use of it whenever appropriate. There are so many different options out there that only you will know which is best for you and your family. Consider aspects such as size, aesthetic, settings, quality and (if ever in doubt) check others’ reviews. You’ll eventually find one that ticks all of your boxes! When the winter months come around, it may also be a good idea to store your BBQ in a shed or garage to minimise its contact with the elements and increase its longevity.

These are just a few simple additions that you might want to consider in order to create a more luxurious and entertaining garden to spend your time in!

Gardening Must-Dos For Green-Fingered Newbies

Getting your garden fit for the summer months can seem like a challenge, especially if there are Triffid-like plants taking over your little patch of land. If you don’t have any horticultural knowledge at all, you might not know how to get a wonderful blooming garden all year round. The concept of weeding and deadheading may be alien to you. To tackle your back garden, you need to consider how you want to use your outside space. Think about whether you want an area for al fresco dining or whether you want space for your kids to play. You may find that you need a garden to fulfill many different purposes. Take a look at these garden must-dos for green-fingered newbies.

Planting

If you have a dream of a colorful and flowering garden, you need to think about how best to create this without borders full of high maintenance plants. If you don’t know how to care for your foliage, it’s vital that you take the easy option, at least initially. Think about those plants that need very little care, such as bulbing flowers, like tulips and daffodils. These can create colorful little havens of yellow and red in the springtime. For summer planting, consider shrubs that flower and require very little human intervention. Magnolias, clematis and acers can come in a range of different colors and look glorious when seen together in a garden. Go for some variety and think about hitting all the senses. Scented heathers and lavenders are perfect for walkways and borders.

Design

If you are after a sculptural design with artificial lawn, raised beds and patios, you may want to consider a professional landscaping company to do all of the hard work. They will sit down with you to discover your ideas for your garden, before they put this into practice. They will work on time and budget to create your dream outside space. They can take care of every aspect of the design from sourcing tradespeople and materials to putting the finishing touches into your planting.

If you want to go it alone, ensure that you don’t go for something too adventurous as it can end up looking messy and the finish won’t be up to scratch. Use high quality materials and go for a look that suits your family’s wants and needs.

Dining

The most exciting part of summer is dining outside. Lighting the barbecue and getting pals around for a feast and a catch up can be fun. Think about the garden furniture you have, make your seating area sociable, and have an awning should the clouds break. It can be atmospheric sitting in the garden covered up while it is raining. Add some subtle lighting to create different moods and to light up some key plants in your garden. Making your outside space an extension to your home gives you another room come the summer months.

Follow this guide and discover how even the most green-fingered gardener can have their dream outside space.

How to Turn your wife on

If you are a man, this post is for you, if you are a woman leave a comment with what turns you on if I do not have it listed here.
It's the "little things" a husband does through out the day that get them "in the mood." For example to turn on a woman do things like ...

* Give a back rub … no strings attached.
* Cook supper and clean up.
* Give a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure
* Help pick up the house.
* Do a chore she doesn’t like to do.
* Surprise her with her favorite candy.
* Call/Text her just to say hello.
* Find the babysitter and take your wife on a date.
* Compliment your spouse daily.
* Hold hands.
* Etc
And wives, we always throw this in just incase you forgot ...
How do you turn on your man ...

* Show up naked. (smile)

My favourite things about Covid-19

Now that the world seems to be opening up a little at a time,  restaurants are back to open,  malls are slowly opening, more gatherings, we can go to church.  The last 12 weeks have not been easy on anyone but I wanted to share some things that were not to bad.

1) My husband being home 24/7, i loved that his office is in our house and he can just work from there and I can sneak in for hugs and kisses thru out the day, or we can have lunch together.

2) My baby girl is home all the time with me, as a mom we wonder when they leave what they are doing or where they are, right now she is safely at home and for that I am thankful.

3) We have complete a lot of outside projects... all of our mulching of the flower beds are done, they turned out beautiful, the patio furniture is out, ( in fact I am working from there now).

4) All the family time.  We have gone for walks, played lots of games, went for drives, ate way to much junk food.

5) This is totally selfish but all the extra sleep time I am getting- the last few months before this started I was incredibly stressed and never slept much at all so now I feel rested, Im not stressed even though I am unemployed.

6) My husband has been able to build his business thru a pandemic- I mean that is the best news right there.  He is still programming but now he is a contractor and doing so well. I am so proud of him.

7) Spiritually I feel more connected to God because I have more time to pray, read my bible.  I have been sharing a devotion a day with our ladies group and it has been a blessing to me and to them.

8) Snail mail letters.  I have sent some encouragement to some friends who I knew were going thru a rough time, I want them to know they are loved and cared for thru this pandemic.

9) The silence that you hear- WE have all heard the saying "Be Still" when you walk outside now, everything is just still, we live on a pretty quiet street and we don't hear much going on but we are also not far from the military base so we do hear that from time to time but it has been so quiet, you step outside and you can hear the birds saying hello, you can hear the frogs in the evening.

10) The home cooking.  Cooking is not my favourite, in fact I always joke that my next house can come without a kitchen and I will be happy. ( just joking) but cooking hasn't been to bad, I have tried new things, we eat as a family and it hasn't been to bad actually.

What about you, what have you enjoyed?

10 Reasons to Get a Dog

If you’ve always had dogs, or grew up around them, getting another might be a given. Those of us that have spent time around dogs are often keen to keep them in our lives. Many families couldn’t imagine life without their four-legged friends and see them as a crucial part of the family. For these people, the advantages of owning a dog are clear.

But, if you’ve never had a dog, or don’t particularly see yourself as an animal person, you may not quite understand the appeal. You might see a dog as another responsibility, worry that they would tie you down, or about the far less glamorous elements of becoming a pet owner.

In truth, though, for most people, the benefits by far out way any responsibilities or unpleasantnesses. Here’s a look at 10 of the reasons to get a dog.

You’ll Get More Exercise

It’s so hard to fit exercise into a busy life. We all know that we should do it, we also know that actually, we could just walk to work. But, who has the time? Or, who wants to make time? With gyms closed, it’s become even harder.

When you have a dog, especially an energetic one, you don’t have any choice. They need exercise, and you have to walk them. Soon, these daily walks will become a welcome part of your routine. You’ll look forward to them, you’ll happily make time for them, and they’ll boost your mental health as well as your fitness levels.

You’ll Always Have a Friend

Making friends as an adult is tough. We often grow apart from friends we had when we were younger as our lives change, and we find our own place in the world. But, outside of work, it’s hard to meet new people. Adult life actually can be incredibly lonely. Even more so as we get older, our children leave home, or we start to think about retirement.

When you have a dog, you always have a friend. There’s always someone at home to comfort you after a hard day, and always someone who is keen to spend time with you over anyone else.

Your Kids Will Have a Friend

Most children find it easier to make friends. They mix well with other children at school. But, they don’t all form close bonds, and often, children struggle to confide in people and suffer from anxiety around new situations.

A dog can give them a welcome outlet, especially as they move into adolescence and start to worry more about what other people think of them. A dog offers an ear and a comforting presence.

You’ll Make New Friends

Your dog won’t just become your friend; they’ll also help you to make new human friends and improve your social life.

You’ll say hi to people when you walk familiar routes. You may become friendly with other local dog owners, and even if these relationships never progress to more than polite niceties, any human contact is important.

A Dog is a Fun Way to Teach Responsibility

Dogs, such as Lucky Labs, can be a great way to teach your children (or even partner) some responsibility. They’ll help to care for their new pet, and perhaps even have specific responsibilities. They’ll learn that if you love and care for something, you get a lot back and that our most rewarding relationships are the ones that we put the most effort and affection into.

Young children could help with walking, grooming and feeding, and as your family dog ages with your children, they’ll become closer, and their responsibilities will grow. As well as teaching responsibility, they’ll grow in confidence and independence while becoming a more empathetic person. All desirable traits to take with them into adulthood.

You’ll Be Protected

Dogs, even the typically friendly or docile ones, will offer you, your family and your home protection. They hear things that we don’t, they’ll alert you to dangers or intruders, and they may even be able to spot the warning signs of some illnesses.

Some dogs are better at this than others, so if security is something that you are concerned about, make sure you get the right breed.

Dogs are Boundlessly Loyal

Dogs, more than any other pets are loyal. They’ll come to you, they will be reluctant to leave you, and they will remember you. Your dog will be happy when you get in from work, and there’s something very comforting about knowing that you are another being's favorite person in the world.

A Dog Will Love You

All pets are great, but few will love you as a dog will, and even fewer will show it. Whatever else is going on in your life, whoever might come and go, your dog will still love you.

You’ll Never Be Lonely

Even when we have friends and family, sometimes even when we work around plenty of other people and live in a full household, we can feel lonely. Often our loneliness isn’t about who we are with, but instead the connections that we’ve formed, or the things that might be going on in our lives that we don’t want to share. A dog can help with these feelings of loneliness, and they’ll never judge you, whatever you may share with them.

Dogs Can Help With Behavioral Issues

Many children and young people, as well as some adults struggle with behavioral issues. They might get angry or frustrated and have nowhere to channel it. They might struggle to control their emotions or have a hard time processing negative feelings. It’s totally normal, but often hard to deal with. Having a dog can help. Your family dog gives them purpose and responsibility as well as an outlet.

Despite all of these benefits, it is important to remember that we aren’t all dog people. Your lifestyle may not suit an animal, and you should ask yourself if you can afford to commit the time or money to give a pet the care that it deserves. You may be tempted after reading these benefits, but don’t rush into getting any animal without giving it careful consideration and being honest with yourself.

6 Genius Cooking Tricks To Steal From Pros

Cooking is an art, and unless you treat it like that, it will be hard to expect to make something
delicious that will look amazing and taste heavenly. However, instead of regretting never
grabbing the recipe book and whipping up something tasty, you should go into your kitchen and
cook, but not before you read up on what professionals have to say on helping you out.

Stick to the book or listen to others?
Generally, it is always to stick with the written-down recipe, as you can never go wrong with it,
but, you should also try to make it unique and add a bit of homemade magic into it. On the other
hand, until you get well-versed, it is best to listen to what famous chefs have to say. Of course,
you should not take it for granted it, and you should always try to experiment to make something
truly amazing and to play with your taste buds.

If possible, try to use fresh ingredients whenever you can

As you might have heard from famous chefs like Jamie Oliver, it is best to buy fresh ingredients
whenever you want to prepare a new meal. Going to the market for a quick shop-stop is great
not only to stock up with things you might need to cook, but you will be able to come up with
more interesting ideas along the way. Furthermore, this will be a good chance to surprise
yourself and buy some extra ingredients which could make your next meal taste heavenly.

Find healthy substitutes to avoid unhealthy eating
Even though we are already accustomed to cooking a certain way, it does not have to mean
that it is good for everyone. And, as Ellie Krieger has stated, it is better to swap nonfat yogurt for
sour cream. Not only will you cut down on fat intake, but you will also enrich your meals with
necessary minerals, making your cooking that much healthier and enjoyable. However, be sure
to test if sour cream sits right with you before you decide to make the change.

Feel free to experiment and try new things

Some people prefer to eat some types of food while others live to experiment and try interesting
new stuff. So, if you feel that food in your area or culture is bland or uninspiring, you can always
check out authentic Chinese dishes list and find something interesting new to try. From
Cantonese to Sichuan and much more, China offers many delicious meals that will satisfy even
the pickiest eaters. When it comes to cooking, it’s important to say that having a wok and stir-fry
pan will definitely make things much easier. In general, experimenting with various international
cuisines can only improve your cooking skills while teaching you interesting new facts about
eating cultures from all over the world.

Use quality pots and skillets
No chef would dare to use cookware if it is less than perfect as it can greatly influence the taste
you are going for. Furthermore, using pots and skillets can help you properly maintain the
cooking process so that you can really make a masterpiece every time you cook. You don’t
need to spend a fortune of high-end pots and pans, but reading the reviews online and taking
recommendations from trusted people will surely help you make the best choice.

Always clean up after cooking

Although it is not necessary to clean when you are cooking, as it will not influence the end
results, it is a practice you should take seriously nevertheless. Not only will you be done with
overall cooking faster, but you will have a clean kitchen waiting for your next culinary
experience. And on the bright side, you will feel great when you finish up, and you can really
enjoy your meal.
Learning from others is key to making your cooking even better, and if you manage to mix in
some ingredients which you see fit, you can even make the meal tastier and better. Keep in
mind that you should not follow recipe books strictly and that you should go by your nose
mostly. But, most importantly, without good and reliable cookware it is going to be extremely
hard to cook a meal that will be a masterpiece in all of its forms.

How to be a Great Babysitter

As a teenager I babysat for a lot of people- I truly enjoyed it. When someone hires you to babysit they are paying you to be them while they are out of the house.

Here are some tips to become a great babysitter

1) Clean the dishes- wash those dishes, dry those dishes, load the dishwasher. Do not leave those dishes and left overs sitting there

2) Fold the laundry- that momma needs to come home and have this done for her

3) Pray with those kids- say their prayers before bed

4) Talk to those kids- ask them if they have any concerns that you can help them talk thru- this is not to take the place of the parent but just to let them know they have a friend in you

5) Keep the household rules in place- don't let the kids change everything because the parents are not home.

It is a great job, one that you will always remember and so will the kids- The first kids I ever babysit are all married now but when I go home, I visit them, I still get hugs and we reminisce about the fun we had.

How to Enjoy Your Garden Without the Hard Work

If your garden is not quite everything you want it to be in terms of the ease of maintenance it offers, it’s easy to just let it go to ruin. But when that happens, your garden becomes less usable and you simply won’t want to spend time in it. To avoid all that, you need to create a garden without any of the hard work that’s usually associated with maintaining a garden. Here are the best steps to take.

Create a Paved Living Area

Having a paved area in your garden could be just what your outdoor space needs. It’ll create a living area that can be used for dining or simply for relaxing by adding a nice sofa. The fact that this entire space will be paved over means that there will be very little in the way of maintenance for you to take care of and that’s probably what you’re looking for.

Plant Your Flowers and Plants in Contained Boxes

If you want to have plants and flowers in your garden but you don’t want them to grow wildly in flower beds, you should plant them in contained boxes instead. This makes sense because they’re much easier to maintain and take care of when they’re in raised boxes. It even means that you don’t need to bend down very far when it comes to weeding and other basic tasks.

Have an Artificial Lawn Laid

If the lawn is one of your biggest headaches right now but you don’t like the idea of paving over it entirely, one option is to have quality artificial grass laid in its place. That way, you still get the visual appeal of a carefully maintained lawn but you don’t have to worry at all about mowing it and keeping it in good shape, which is a task not many people enjoy much at all.

Plant Evergreens for Lower Maintenance

There are some types of plants that are much easier to maintain than others. So if you want to make your garden easier to deal with going forward, you should make sure you choose ones that are not going to make your life more difficult than it needs to be. The best way to go about it is to plant evergreens because they’re very low maintenance.

Keep Things Minimalist

Finally, you should adopt an overall philosophy of minimalism when it comes to planning your garden and making changes to it. There’s no need to overcomplicate things because that’s how your garden becomes difficult to maintain and take care of. If you make the wrong choices, you’ll only make more problems for yourself than you need to.

Everyone wants to enjoy their garden, but most people don’t have the time, energy or expertise to make it look incredible in the way they imagine. But if you follow the guidance above, that might not be the case. It’s more than possible to create a stunning and enjoyable low maintenance garden.

Grow a Beautiful Garden

A stunning garden can enhance your entire property and give you a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy throughout the year. Of course, there are no strict guidelines when it comes to what constitutes an exquisite garden, so you have free reign to combine your favorite landscaping styles and create a unique idyll for you, your friends and family to enjoy.
Although your garden should be as unique as you are, there are some universal tips that can help you to cultivate a spectacular outdoor space. To learn more, find out how to grow a beautiful garden and what you need to do to get started now:
1. Use an experienced landscaper
Designing a garden is no easy task, particularly if you don’t have much experience. By using a reputable firm, such as Calloway's Landscape Design Services, you can access professional expertise when you design your custom outdoor environment. What’s more, many landscape design services also offer practical services too or are able to recommend companies that can carry out the work for you. If you want to transform your garden but don’t have the time, ability or equipment to get it down, working with professional landscapers and gardeners will ensure you get the garden of your dreams in record time.
2. Do your research
It can be tricky to sit and think of must-have features you want in your garden or to conjure up the types of plants you prefer. By researching gardens before you behind the design process, you can get a better idea of what you want your own space to look like.
As well as looking online for inspiration, be sure to look at other people’s front gardens in your area. It’s likely they’ll have the same type of soil as you, so you’ll get a good idea of what grows well in your particular area. If you find something you love, don’t be afraid to ask the property owner if you can snap a picture of their garden. Most gardeners are only too keen to share their tips, so it’s likely they’ll be thrilled that you asked them.
3. Create a focal point
A breathtaking garden always has a focal point, so be sure to factor this into your plans when you’re designing your new outdoor space. You may want a much-loved old tree to be the centerpiece of your yard or you may prefer a man-made feature, like a fire pit or outdoor kitchen, to be what catches people’s attention.
As well as choosing what you want to act as the focal point, consider where it’s going to be placed too. The natural center of your garden may not actually be the area that’s most visible, so view your garden from numerous different angles before you decide where to place your main features.
Designing a Garden from Scratch
If you’re moving into a new property or if you’re having your existing garden totally rebuilt, you have the opportunity to start from scratch. Although this gives you the freedom to completely transform the outdoor space, it may mean you struggle to find ideas to get started with. If in doubt, spend your time undertaking research and jot down the styles, plants, and features you like the most. As you build up a list of must-have garden adornments, you’ll find it easier to determine exactly how you want your garden to look and what you want to be in it.

The Braless Revolution: Over 1/3 of Women Are Ditching Bras As They Work From Home

In a time when there isn’t much that we can control, the freedom to ditch your bra is one simple joy women can hold onto. The ability to work from home braless in pajamas or loungewear is a perk that helps offset WFH inconveniences. Maybe you miss your coworkers, but at least you can skip your commute and work braless and even commando every day. At this point, many of us might have forgotten what wearing bras or jeans even feels like.

Ladies have been sounding off on social media since March about their newfound happiness about abandoning their bras. They don’t miss underwire bras or restricting work attire one bit. Some women have even comically wondered aloud if they’ll ever decide to wear a real bra again after this quarantine.

Unsurprisingly, the New York Post reported wireless bra sales increased by 40% due to the quarantine. Styles that prioritize comfort are booming. After all, being freed from the constraints of the traditional underwire bra is undeniably liberating. However, it’s key to note that any cheap, ill-fitting bra is sure to make you hate wearing it... not all bras are created equal.

It’s been months since the lockdown began, and it seems comfort is still king in the age of isolation. Are bras really out of the question? Where do you stand when it comes to your wardrobe while working from home during quarantine? Maybe you’re one of those put-together gals proclaiming the benefits of changing into “real clothes” every morning to psych yourself up for a hard day of work.

Well, a recent survey of over 1,000 American women to see how they feel about working from home braless revealed the latest thoughts on this topic. With over one third of women admitting to their WFH bralessness, it looks like there are plenty of folks who are still making the most of their bra-optional at-home work situation. If you’re like 35% of the women surveyed, you’ll agree that bras are pretty pointless nowadays.

At the end of the day, are bras really to blame? Whether we like to admit it or not, our uncomfortable bras are usually our own fault. We probably haven’t been fitted properly in years (or ever.) It’s almost always the style, material, quality, or fit that’s the problem. You’ll never hear a woman complain about wearing a comfy wireless bra designed for lounging around. In fact, some bustier ladies always opt for at least some light support over being totally braless.

No one cares what you’re wearing these days, so go ahead and soak in the joy of a braless life. In uncertain and scary times, it’s important to take a step back and appreciate simple things that bring humor or happiness into our lives. It’s nice to take a break and focus on life’s little pleasures, like the liberating feeling of bralessness.

Who knows, maybe you’ll be forever changed by the experience of ditching your bra indefinitely. Maybe you’ll quickly revert to old habits once you’re attending events and running around in public again. Either way, relish in the temporary freedom while you can.
