Twenty-three years ago today, my life changed forever. I carried you beneath my heart for nine months, dreaming about the day I would finally meet you. Then, just as you've always done, you surprised us all by arriving quickly three weeks early and from that very moment, you stole my heart completely.
The second I held you in my arms, I knew my life would never be the same. You made me a mom, and that has been the greatest blessing and privilege of my life.
Watching you grow from that tiny little girl into the incredible woman you are today has been one of the greatest joys I have ever known. Every stage of your life has been a gift, and I thank God every day that He chose me to be your mom.
There aren't enough words to describe how proud I am of you. You are beautiful inside and out, compassionate, strong, funny, thoughtful, and full of grace. But more than anything, I admire your heart.
You have a rare gift of making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and loved. You don't just make friends you become a friend to everyone. Whether someone has known you for years or only a few minutes, you have a way of making them feel like they matter. You celebrate people, encourage them, stand beside them when they need someone, and love without expecting anything in return. The world is a better place because of the kindness you carry in your heart.
If I could give you one gift today, it would be the ability to see yourself through my eyes. You would see a woman who is extraordinary, deeply loved, and capable of accomplishing anything she sets her mind to. You would see the daughter every mother dreams of having.
No matter how old you get, you will always be my baby. I will always be your biggest cheerleader, your safe place, and the one who loves you without limits or conditions. Nothing in this world could ever change that.
Thank you for every hug, every laugh, every conversation, and every memory we've shared. Thank you for teaching me that a mother's love only grows deeper with time. Loving you has been the easiest and most rewarding thing I have ever done.
I loved you before I ever met you.
When I got that positive test, I fell in love
I loved you the moment I held you.
I love you more with every passing day, and
I will love you for the rest of my life.
Happy Birthday, Brooke.
I love you beyond words.
Always and forever. ❤️
