Weekend Recap

Friday:
Worked til 6 pm, then I took my hubby on a date- he has been working so hard as of late on the project going live, took him to Montana's for a steak

It sure was yummy 

The roads were very snow covered and slippery, we probably stayed home but we made it safe and sound. 

Saturday:

Needed to do a little grocery shopping and some shoe shopping for hubby- buying shoes for me is the worst ;) Sorry honey ;) 

We had friend over on Saturday evening for some food and mexican train game- it was fun but I took no pictures. 

Stayed up far to late watching Grey's Anatomy- I am so addicted to that show and I really didn't think I was going to enjoy it, but I truly do. 

Sunday:

Had both services today, for once there was no storm, we did go to A&W for lunch, we needed to take Brooke for a play date so we needed to feed her first, we didn't want to drive the 15 mins home, then back again. 

One of my friends and I were matching today 

That about does it for me for this weekend, Off to watch Heartland and then some grey's.

I Confess

1) the two week break I took over Christmas was super nice, but I really missed my blog, is that weird.. it felt like a piece of my daily life was missing.  as much as breaks are needed, it was so nice to come back

2) I am pain free for the first time in 2 days, I spent all day yesterday at the hospital, needing medications for pain- I wish I could trade in this bladder for a new one

3) Looking forward to hanging out with friends tomorrow night, they are coming over to play games and eat yummy food :)

4) I am excited for a date with my hubby tonight, it has been so long since we have had a date and i really miss him

On this special day for you, because it is your birthday, I want to say through this little note, how much your presence has meant in my life, because from you learned everything good in my being.

Thank you so much dear sister for everything you gave me, you are the greatest, never forget the great times we spent together and every day that we enjoyed together; probably over the course of the years we will have to follow our different and separate ways, but you will never stop being my younger sister, the one who has always been my example and guide, you are the one I look up to. 

I want to be the mom and wife that you are, you give and give, you never take anything in return. 

I am so proud of you, all that you have accomplished so far in your life, you are a woman worthy of imitation, generous everywhere, always ready to help, whenever I needed of your time you never denied it to me, you were always there willing to fully support me.  The love of sisters lasts in our hearts which will be an eternal bond in every circumstance of our lives.May happiness reign in your heart always, are the desires of your sister who always loves you.

A year in Review

Thank you my dear friends and followers for always being there and being my friend, this year has not always been easy but it has been worth it.

A year in Review

January- We celebrated my Mommas 53rd Birthday.
I also started menu planning this month and have never looked back. It is such a good feeling to wake in the morning and know what you are cooking that day and not wonder if you have all the ingredients etc.

February- Found out I was treated for something that I didn't have for 2 long years.  Even to this day I have no idea what I have going on, but hopefully this year we can find out, I still have nightly episodes even after having my IUD removed, but God has a plan for me and my life and I know I am going thru this for a reason.

Celebrated another Valentines Day with my one and only Valentine. This one marked 15 we have spent together :) Looking forward to many many more together.

Found out our family would be growing by two little feet- my sister and her husband were expecting.
Grandpa went to the hospital for his final time after having many strokes, heart attacks and seizures, they made the decision to keep him there for the rest of his days.
Got a new casual position, it was a great job and I loved every minute of it.

March- Celebrated my Father in law's 50 something birthday ;)
Had my bladder surgery scheduled and because of a flu, it got postponed

April- My baby brother was celebrated as he turned 23 
-Easter at my aunts house- it was nice to spend it with family
Had bladder surgery where they found no endometrosis or IC- so now I'm left without a diagnosis and my doctor discharged me because there is nothing she can do when they don't know what it is

May
The month started out with my losing my grandpa- he was one of my closest friends, losing him was the hardest thing I have had to deal with this year.  I went back home to NL for the funeral to do his tribute and to be with my family. We celebrated his life greatly
We celebrated 12 years of Marriage- my favourite one dozen years
We also took the greatest vacation we have been on to date- we were gone for 3 weeks, we travelled to so many US states, zoo's, parks, shopping, restaurants, visited with friends and family.

June
Was a quiet month for us as we were recovering from an awesome vacation

July
We survived our first major hurricane here with minimal damage to our property- we had lost electricity for 7 days though- that was tough
Celebrated our Baby Girl turning 11- she didn't want a big party this year so we took her and 2 friends to a amusement park and they had a great time

August
Was another quiet month as we prepared to move to a new house.
Celebrated my Grandpa's birthday
Lost my casual job and looking for a new job

September
Middle School for Brooke - that was hard on me- felt to surreal that she is growing up

October
My 32 birthday, my dad's birthday and my nephews birthday
My New Niece made her entrance into this world- Norah Rose
celebrated 4 years since my lung surgery and no problems since

November
Finished off all Christmas shopping super early
Started a new job that i enjoy

December:
Christmas with just the three of us, something that we have never done before, but it has been a great time together with new traditions started and memories made.

Christmas/New Years- Recap

It was such a nice break to take almost 2 weeks off and hang out with my family and friends.

Christmas Eve:
I worked until 4 pm, made a reservation for 5 pm for Chinese food, this is the first christmas that we were alone with out our parents etc - we wanted to make new traditions and this was decently one of them, we will do this one for a long time, the food was so fresh, the buffet plentiful and the company made me happy ;)
After we ate we decided to go to 2 light shows, they were both nice but the first one was much more popular and it was busy, here is a link. We also went to visit some friends and drop of their christmas cards. Came home, Brooke always opens a present on Christmas Eve from my brother and his girlfriend, this year they got her Giraffe print  PJ's, the kid loves Giraffe's

After Brooke went to bed, Santa came ;)

Christmas Day
We woke up around 8 to open presents, Brooke was so excited, we got her a 5ft giraffe that was sitting beside the tree, which made her day, she was so happy.
She also got a laptop, clothes, more giraffe's boots, paris related stuff for her room, giraffe blanket

 she was is  spoiled.
Hubby spoiled me too- I got a gorgeous Boston jersey, Boston watch, beautiful camera, shoes, clothes, office stuff.

I got him a new wedding band as his original is to small for him, clothes, hot sauce( he loves it) books.
We had friends come for lunch, I made a full turkey dinner, I love to entertain and host, they brought their adorable 5 month old

this little guy makes me smile, he loves his Auntie Terri <3

Boxing day:
We went to visit friends that are more like family, we had a great visit, got spoiled more, Brooke had a great time hanging out with their daughter, the mom use to babysit me when I was younger ( much) and now we are the closest friends <3

New Year's Eve
I had to work til 5 pm, no biggie, it wasnt busy at all.
We had a church pot luck and a candle lite service, it was a nice time. The pot luck had so much delicious food, then we played some games, went to bed just after midnight after getting my New Years Kiss for the 17 year :)

New Years Day
Friends from church invited us over for a ham lunch, we ate lots of yummy food, played games, met new people, laughed a lot :)
