Weekend Recap

Friday:
It was my last day at my job you do not know why, refer to here.
I also got taken to lunch by a couple of friends from there, I got the pulled pork poutine, it was so good.

After work we had a staff social and technically I was still a staff so I got to go:) When I got there I found out it was a send off for me :) I got some beautiful presents and a gift card with a card that everyone had signed. It was nice.

Saturday:

It was a lazy day, we were supposed to go pick up my momma but due to a storm her trip was delayed a day so we get her tomorrow now. 

We did go to town to pick up a couple of things I needed and ended up leaving walmart with $100 spent... and never really bought much. That is the worst of all. 

I did make a spicy buffalo chicken dip and wings for dinner while we had family time. 

Sunday:

we had AM service, then we left to get my momma, ate a quick lunch at my aunts house and then got back on the road and made it back for PM service then we went out with friends for food. 

This week is another busy one. Tomorrow I begin my new job. 

We are in the process of buying a new home, we have the inspection tomorrow ( Monday) then on Thursday I have a dental surgery. 

In all a great weekend. 

Review of Wildflower

A great family movie, myself and my 12 year old watched it. 

It offers a story of hope to the trauma vital. If you ever feel alone, you need to watch this movie, it will change your life and your outlook on life. 

This movie is a faith based film. Sometimes the path to finding freedom can be a hard one, but God is present through it all and the healing and hope that he gives to us, makes the difficult journey worthwhile. 

It is a suspenseful emotional. It displays a perfect amount of Love, Faith, Devotion and strength.

Friday Confessions

I haven't done this in a long time so I thought because I cannot sleep I would write some confessions out 

1) Today I left some of the best co workers I have ever had, it was my last day at my job. It has been a great few months guys ( it was a temp position).  It has given me some lasting friendships. 

2) My momma is on her way here as we speak.. I get her tomorrow afternoon... I cannot wait for her to cook and clean for me, to be here for Brooke and for her to relax. 

3) I start my new job on Monday , I am excited and nervous as with every new job of course. 

Exciting News

I have kept this news quiet for a while but now that everyone family wise knows I would like to share with you on here. 

For the past 5 years I have been working with a temp agency, a lot of part time job ranging anywhere from a day- to 6 months or more. 

It has been hard but yet I have enjoyed it so much 

the worst part for me being a planner is not knowing when more income is coming in after a job is finished. 

As I have mentioned before I have been working in a micro biology lab for the past 8 weeks and it is not a bad job just not what I want to do, the people are so nice to work with, I have made some lasting friendship. 

Fast forward to the week before Easter break I had an interview at a growing business for payroll clerk which is what I have been looking to do, I wanted an office job where I can dress up every day and feel good about what I do...

The interview was a pretty quick one and I thought I had missed it and would never hear from them, but within a few minutes she told me she wanted me to come back for a second interview, but yet never set up a time for me to do that.. then we had 5 days off with no work because of easter and it was a long 5 days because I wanted to hear back.. 

so they sent an email on the Tuesday after and asked if I could come back in the next day for my second interview.... 

Tuesday Night I never slept at all because I wanted the job, I was also not sure if I was supposed to even take the job if offered so I prayed and said Ok God if I am supposed to take this job, he will offer it to me that day... 

Once I got there the nervous jitters had stopped and I felt fine. 

I met with the owner and he said within 5 mins I want to hire you, we talked about hours etc, then he told me what I am making $ wise and I was taken aback I never thought he would offer me so  much. 

I start on April 11th with a full time permanent job. 

I am so very thankful 

Weekend Recap

It was inventory day at work and was I tired, it also felt like a very very long day. I met my friend Lisa for lunch... it was a nice visit. 

Hubby and I had put an offer on a new home and it was accepted so we decided we needed a date night to celebrate. We went to a nice restaurant here and paid far to much for food but we were celebrating so it was all good. We got bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer, they were the best I have ever had. 

When we got home I was laying on the couch and drifted of to sleep, woke around 11 pm.. then I went back to bed at 12 and slept til 12 the next day, I thought I was coming down with something because I slept so much but I felt fine on Saturday. 

We had a semi lazy early afternoon... then we went to town to check out a new store for hubby who has to eat gluten free food, it was a good store he got some things there and hoping it is good because he has a hard time finding food that actually tastes good. 

any gluten free people here? tips, hints or tricks? 

I made a nacho dip for dinner, it was so good even though I messed up the recipe. 

Brooke and I had a mini craft night.  

We had Sunday morning service, then we had a leadership meeting, it was likely the best meeting we have had, of closeness and we all needed it. 

I came home and took a quick nap and then we went to PM service, Moses shared pictures and videos of his missions trip, I am so glad I never knew all that the kid saw over there... my momma heart.

Under the sea Review

When I was asked to review this bible I instantly thought of my niece and knew she would love to have it.  Thank you Flyby for this opportunity. 

It is so bright and vibrant

The Bible is a book that all of us as Christian parents want our kids to come to know and cherish. Sometimes though, the Bibles in our homes aren’t all that user-friendly to kids. This is especially true now that most kids’ books are so kid-friendly, with bright illustrations that cater to them.. 

The bright and colourful pictures is what keeps the young ones interested. It is a normal bible but with the bright pictures all the while they can learn about the Bible like an adult because it does not bring it down to using kids words. 

My niece has loved having this bible and she loves to bring it to sunday school.
