Home Decor: Less Is More

In many ways, interior designers have shown us how to create an exciting and vibrant decor that can mix styles
and cultures. You can create a delightful indoor Japanese garden in your living room and bring the sunny colors of the
Mediterranean countries in your kitchen. With the hyper-availability of objects – more often than not, you can buy
international styles with no more than one click on Amazon – it seems easy to create a rich and crowded interior that
reflects the diversity of the planet. However, when it comes to creating a home decor that is both comfortable and
appealing, less is often more.

Your appliances are part of the decor
You can greatly simplify your interior style by making your appliances an integral part of your decor. Choosing beautiful
items, such as the bathtubs here https://www.kardiel.com/Modern-tubs/modern-freestanding-bathtubs, can create the
main focal point in the decor. In all rooms, purposeful appliances and items of furniture don’t just have to fulfil their
functions. They also need to be appealing to the eye. Beautiful sofa, inviting bed, stylish coffee fridge, the list is long!
Homeowners can build a simple decor by ensuring that the aesthetic aspect is supported by their choices of furniture.

Multi-functional gadgets save space
Homes are getting smaller and smaller, especially if you happen to live in an urban area. As a result, it’s fair to say that
people need to look for smart items that can combine multiple functions, such as bringing a boiling tap into the kitchen.
With it, you can not only prepare most warm and instant drinks and recipes – which replaces a kettle to boil the water –
but it also fulfils the expected function of a traditional water tap. This two-in-one approach enables homeowners to save
space.

Simple patterns and colors
Surprisingly, more and more home designers are looking to create neutral color patterns, such as the ones
here http://www.interiorcravings.com/minimalist-home. The reason for this color trend is that vibrant colors,
which can be used as accents within the decor, can create a crowded and overwhelming interior. It’s fair to say that
the eye finds a room painted in neutral hues more relaxing than bright yellows, reds, oranges, and greens.
In the Feng Shui philosophy, neutral and earth-inspired colors are designed to re-energize the body. And it’s true that
you feel better surrounded by simple patterns and colors.

Space is luxury
Last, but not least, as rooms are getting smaller, it’s is essential to emphasize the space.
Space is a luxury in modern homes, and that’s precisely why functionality and pragmatism are key rules in interior decor.
In the attempt to value space, it is crucial for modern families to learn to declutter, aka getting rid of unwanted and unused
items. Similarly, there is no need to fill the room with decorative objects to create your interior style. Let the air roam
circulate and the light shine through a functional and minimalist environment for a simple and modern style.

Ultimately, style is not in the excess. It is in the simplicity and the practicality. Style at home is made for people who
want to enjoy life without pretensions.

Smooth Move: Make Moving Easier for You and Your Kids

Moving can be extremely stressful for the whole family. However, if you start with preparations on time, try to create a thorough plan and a checklist of all the things that you should do during the weeks prior to the moving day, you’ll be able to relax and be sure that everything will go just fine. In order to help you out with the whole process and make things look less complicated and scary, we’ve prepared a list of several useful tips that will help you avoid any possible issues and stress.

Good organization is the key
Being well-organized is the key to a successful and smooth move. Therefore, make sure to write down your plan and try to find the best strategy for finishing everything on time. For example, you can start by setting up a moving date so that you’ll know exactly how many days you have for the preparation. Once you have a clear schedule, it will be much easier for you to divide the work and take a relaxed approach to the entire moving process. After all, stress can only make things worse.

Write a moving checklist
In order to be sure that you won’t forget to do anything crucial, writing a comprehensive moving checklist is a right way to go. For example, we advise you to organize your obligations week by week so that you get a clear picture of how much time you’ll need to get everything done. You can start by making a list of all the items that you can pack first and find the right moving boxes. Additionally, don’t forget to attach inventory lists to all boxes in order to make the unpacking much easier and more enjoyable. As the moving day gets closer, remember to arrange certain services like a babysitter for your child or a cleaning service for your old home. Finally, don’t forget to bring all your documents with you and do a final check of the property before you move out.

Get some help
Everything is easier when you have somebody who can help you.First, seek out an experienced moving company to help you pack and transport your items from your old house to the new one. So, if your children are old enough, feel free to include them in the moving process as well. We are sure that they will be more than happy to help, and will feel proud of themselves because they got such a serious and important task to do. On top of that, this will help you unwind all the accumulated stress and even have some fun while packing.

Additionally, if you realize that you still can’t finish everything in time for the moving day, don’t hesitate to ask your friends and relatives for help. Finally, there are some issues like moving house electricity that you need to take care of, so it’s best you find reliable professional help and have everything done as efficiently as possible.

Get your children ready
Don’t forget that moving is a big change for kids and can make them quite anxious and unhappy.
Therefore, it’s essential to talk to them and explain the whole process so that they won’t be afraid of the unknown. For example, if you have a toddler, you should give them at least a month to process the new information. Of course, don’t forget to mention that nothing significant will change and that they can still keep all their toys and other possessions. In addition to that, it would be nice to take your children on a tour around your new home, show them its advantages and help them imagine how beautiful their new rooms will be. Finally, the most important thing is to stay patient and show them that you respect their feelings.

Prepare your new home in advance
Finally, if you want to avoid any unpleasant surprises, make sure to prepare your new home ahead of
time. In other words, even before your new furniture gets delivered, you can stop by and clean the
floors and windows. Of course, if you are moving all the way across the country, instead of traveling
back and forth every other day, you should hire a reliable cleaning service to do the job for you. Owing to their help, you’ll rest assured knowing that your new place will be absolutely ready when you and your family arrive.

As you can see, there are quite a lot of things that one must take into consideration when moving.
However, if you make a good plan, write a checklist and are ready to accept help, there is nothing to
worry about. Finally, don’t forget that your children may become quite emotional, so make sure to
explain to them what’s happening and reassure them that nothing huge will change.

When to identify your baby needs further medical care

Having a child can be a relatively difficult time. There are many, many things you need to keep in mind, especially if this is your first rodeo. With time you’ll get to grips with the entire affair and even enjoy it immensely, but we’d be lying to you if we ignored the practical reality that having a child requires an immense amount of responsibility from day to day.

Luckily, raising a child is the most worthwhile thing you can do with your time on this Earth, so it’s not as if you’ll be hard done by. However, sometimes certain things can be cause for concern. Infants are by definition at risk of contracting a number of health complications. As a new parent, it can be tempting to refer every small thing you notice to a Doctor. Luckily, this is what a dedicated midwife is for. However, when you notice things that might constitute a problem, the first response is to go running to the child’s clinic.

Luckily, not everything is permanent, and some things may pass. There are a few signs that might suggest your baby needs further medical care however. We’d recommend that the following markers should motivate you to visit your Doctor as soon as you can:

Difficulty Breathing

It should be very clear if your child is having trouble breathing. There are many issues that can cause this to be the case. It might be that the air quality in your home is bad and simply needs ventilation. Often, however, this is not so simple. There have been conditions recorded where an infants body struggles to excrete carbon monoxide and the gasses that us as humans must filter out to survive.

However, there are also almost too many reasons to count as to why this might be happening. We’d first recommend checking the nasal passages, as these can become blocked. If you notice that your child rapidly breaths, seems to have difficulty pulling through their nose, often grunts or seems to go blue in the face, you should try and find urgent medical care. Often your midwife or visiting health professional will try and ensure that this isn’t a problem with every visit, but simply inspecting your child’s breathing capacity as a default throughout the day can help you catch issues early.

Lack of Sleep

A child being unable to sleep can mean many things. This is very unnatural because often babies seem to do nothing more than sleep (and of course never when you hope they will at night!) It’s important to understand the potential reasons for this happening.

First, it could be environmental. You might have bad ventilation in their room, or there might be extreme outdoor noises keeping them awake. It might be their room is too warm, or the blankets you have wrapped them in are too tight and hot. It might also be that your baby is overtired or overstimulated in some way. Sometimes, it could be that you haven’t quite given them the room to adapt to a form of sleep schedule just yet, and the irregularity is playing with their health.

Sleep issues should be referred to a pediatrician or Doctor when your child seemingly cannot sleep even when completely worn out. This shows a very difficult problem, and will require urgent care. Your doctor should be able to administer a very mild form of sleeping aid, or simply help you resolve the issues that could be affecting your child.

Lack of Appetite

Lack of appetite can suggest a few things. It might be that your child simply does not respond to breastfeeding, which can often mean a more formula-based approach is required. However, if they refuse to feed at all, you may consider heading to your Doctor. They can help you begin learning new methods of feeding, such as the biological nurturing position. It’s also important to be patient here. Sometimes a baby might take some time to latch onto your breast, but this is normal. When a child seems to show intense vomiting, gagging on all and any foods, or experiencing diarrhea almost immediately after feeding, it could be that your child is suffering from an allergy, an unhealthy developmental relationship with food, or they might have some form of abdominal pain.

Bringing this issue to your health professional as soon as it starts to worry you can help you find a solution within a day or two, and help your child begin feeding once more, even if that has to be forced.

Oversleeping

Oversleeping can be seen as a form of real fatigue. It might indicate that your child struggled with bad sleep quality the night before, such as being overheated. It could be that your child is suffering from a nutritional issue. It might also be the case that they have some form of autoimmune disease. Never expect the worst, but be sure that you are quick enough to attend to this through prompt explanations to your healthcare professional. There are many methods that a Doctor might suggest, from scheduling sleep more properly, to switching up dietary intakes, to checking for any form of lethargy generating illness. Usually, these issues can be overcome if caught early, so if you feel it’s a problem you have every right to ensure it’s checked out.

Extended Stomach

Most infants have large stomachs that protrude out a fair amount. However, if you notice that this feels relatively tense and swollen, then it might only signify constipation. However, it might also signify congenital malformations, something which needs looking at immediately. A good x-ray will be able to determine the cause. It could be that sepsis or congenital megacolon (the disease most attributed to this underlying health condition,) and that resolving this with treatment can help resolve other issues too, like frequent and unwanted vomiting.

Flaky Skin

It might be you notice that your child suffers from flaky skin, especially around the scalp. This can give you cause for alarm, but be sure not to jump to any conclusions too hastily. For example, this condition can often be known as something called cradle cap. This is a very normal condition for many children and often dissipates before the first birthday. For more information be sure to check out these common cradle cap questions. However, flaky skin can also signify an irritation, which may have come from the powder your wash your laundry with, or the general state of repair of the furniture they come into contact with. It might be that they have a skin condition, or are simply supremely sensitive to any forms of toxin that might be in the area.

Visiting your GP should allow you to identify a cause, but this can also often be found online depending on how the flaky skin looks, and where it seems to gather. Of course, never neglect to visit your healthcare professional on account of an internet article, as where the health and safety of your child is concerned, it always pays to stay completely sure.

Vomiting

We have previously mentioned that vomiting can be the symptom of many issues. It might be that your formula is unsuitable, or that your burping method is inefficient. However, it is also usually completely normal for babies to vomit occasionally, and to sometimes do so at the most inconvenient times.

However, there are some irregularities to look for. While it might not be considered the nicest thing to do, visually inspecting your child's vomit can help you notice issues. If it’s uncommonly textured, contains blood or is a strange color, it might be that your child is experiencing heavy digestive issues or infections. Your Doctor should be able to provide a list of treatment options and help you opt for more safe methods of feeding with different formulas, or open up the possibility of breastfeeding once more.

In Summary

To summarize, there are many, many reasons as to why your child might be experiencing odd health issues that you can’t quite understand. This is why the power of observation is so important from the get-go, as is understanding how to translate these responsibilities to your caregiver or partner. We’d recommend googling any and all issues you find important, and checking for updated insights on baby blogs around the web. It could also be you find helpful guidance on baby forums dedicated towards new or experienced mothers. However, it’s always best to keep in mind that nothing will ever replace the trained eye of a healthcare professional looking over your child and ensuring that their best health is met.

Never feel like you’re ‘being a nuisance.’ Report any and all matters of interest to your counselor and midwife. Finally, become comfortable with observing, observing and observing every issue your child might have. This means inspecting their person regularly, keeping an eye on their behavior and noticing any differences in patterns they might be showing. Before long you will be able to catch issues as they arise, and enact changes quickly enough to keep your infant health and ready to live a full, wholesome childhood.

Tips on Decluttering Your Home for Staging

You are preparing to move, and about to list your house on the market. The next step your real estate agent has told you to take is to stage your home for open houses. Staging is the process of preparing your home for viewing by buyers. You want the buyers to be impressed and interested in your home so you can move on out! You will want the buyers that view your house to feel as if they can move in that day!

This is where decluttering comes in, and it is an important step when preparing to sell your home. This, of course, is easier said than done when you are still living at the property and all of your things are still there and in use. However, it is simply a necessity. Buyers like open space, and they need to be able to imagine themselves living there when they come to view. Effort, the thing you need most to tackle this task. Your goal should be to end with your home looking like a spec home. Neat and neutral.

These tips below will help with the decluttering process go smoothly for those of you who are feeling a little overwhelmed.

Living/Family Room:

You can rearrange lighting to give the room a more open feel, you want to maximize the space that you have available. Clear out any excess books, magazines, photo frames, or sit-arounds that you may have on the your coffee table, end tables, or shelves. Any devices that are connected to the TV as well as remotes should be tidy or put away if someone is coming to view. Electronics tend to have many cords and remotes with them, a viewer does not want to see these things cluttering up the space.

Kitchen:

Take all small appliances, such as toasters, coffee pots, cooking utensil holders, and other things that are just sitting on your countertop or table off and away. Wash and store all dish towels rather than hanging or your stove handle or have the look that they have just been used. Organize your shelves, in this case if you have a special built cabinet that a buyer might want to look at, you do not want them to open a cabinet door to shelves full of disorganization.

Bedrooms/Closets:

Bedrooms, the potential place your buyers value the most, especially the master. You will need to have the bed made and the throw pillows arranged in a neat manner. No clothes should be on the floor or piled in a chair as we tend to do after washing. Closets must be organized, this can be a selling point to some buyers. The closet space is very important to be seen as a space that will hold everything the potential buyer could need to hang or store in there.

Bathrooms:

First, take your personal items off of the countertops. Yes, everyone has a toothbrush, face wash, etc. but no one really wants to look at your things when viewing a home. Arrange them neatly in your cabinets but do not over crowd your storage space. Clean, clean, and clean again, your flooring, your toilet, your shower, and your sink. A clean shined bathroom is so important not only daily but especially to a viewer. Also, make sure that your shower curtain, decorative towels, and floor mats match as this appeals to buyers.

Patio/Outdoor Space/Garage:

Deck chairs and tables need to be wiped down and clean from pollen or dust that accumulates. A few small, decorative items like planters or floral baskets can remain, but any clutter of toys, yard tools, or pool items should be stored or removed. As far as painting, if you are able to touch up paint that has chipped or faded over time, then do it for this will help with the outer appearance of your home. As far as the garage goes, you probably are using it for storage as most homeowners do, but attempt to organize your storage space as neatly as possible. Invest in plastic totes to contain items that are sitting around and remove anything you do not need.

Extra Helpful Hints:

Moving might be the single best time to purge your personal belongings. This will be helpful when you move because you won’t have as many things to haul to your new home, and it will get items out of your house for staging. Whether you donate items, sell them, or simply get rid of things, it can help you simplify your life and declutter your home.

You can also rent self-storage spaces on a short-term basis to store items until you move. This will get them out of the house for the staging process but still allow you to keep them. This is an excellent option if you are moving to a larger home or do not want to part with your things you don’t need immediate access to.

Follow these tips and you should be able to successfully declutter your home for staging!

Why quality means so much to us

Quality is a purely human concept. Although there are animals that can differentiate between what is good quality and what isn’t in the game of courting, it's not on our level. For one thing, to animals quality is mostly superficial as the aesthetics are usually the only thing they can go by. However, for us, it's a deeper meaning that quality has in our lives. Quality is a measurement of greatness. The opposite of greatness is something that’s pathetic and weak. In terms of survival, something that is weak is not going to manage to make it to the next morning. So this deep evolutionary system of judgement is very important to us because we can acknowledge and understand what is and isn’t good for us. We consciously make decisions that are purely based on our version of what quality is. Subconsciously we also base our lifestyles on this concept without realizing how that affects us.

Quality of life

Take us down to our most honest level, and we can all admit without prejudice that we are searching for quality of life. We only get a short time on this earth which in comparison to how long the universe has existed, is incredibly miniscule. It's a kind of desperation to try and find meaning and comfort that indicates to us that we are in fact living a quality life; quality in the fact that it's worthwhile. Some psychologists have expressed this as some form of desperation which rings home true to many people. We know our time is limited, so we try to make sure we live with a purpose. Don’t you ever feel like you want to make every day count, but you get lost in the monotony of life? To give us continual meaning without having to think about or take actions that would achieve a better life, we often turn to things like religion, superstition and arbitrary moral compasses.

Wish you had more control?

The spiritual world can only give you satisfaction for so long; the real world will always catch up to you. Think about what affects us the most on a daily basis, and you’ll realize that it's products and services. Quality is incremental in every business model because if we the consumers aren’t offered quality, why would be pay any attention to that business? We don't just buy things because they make us feel better or give us the joy to use, but because they make positive changes in our lives. You could be a part of the conversation about how this happens in many ways. You can leave reviews of your experiences, start a website or a blog and do your own reviews on there or take an online supply chain management course. The course will teach you the importance of the global supply chain and the effect it has on every consumer. It's completely online, so you can learn straight from your home or on the move. It's fully supported by the Accredited Council for Business Schools and Programs.

There isn’t a single reason for why quality matters to us. It stems from the need to make sure we value every second of life we have. It filters through to business and the things we use in life to achieve a better more comfortable living.

Tips for Moving with a Baby

You’re taking the plunge; you’re moving homes with your baby. Even though everyone in your life has advice for how to make this whole process go smoothly, there are a few essential things to know about moving with your baby for the first time.

Divide your things into essential and nonessential:

You don’t want to end up on moving day with your entire box of diapers headed down the road on a moving truck. You also don’t want to be stuck with one thousand baby toys rolling around on the floorboard of your car. The key is to strike a balance. Keep things that are necessary in small box that you can load in your car last. This would include things like food, diapers, clothes, blankets, or other comfort items your baby would need for this journey.

Coordinate Childcare:

If you have friends or family coming to help you with this move, designate one of them as the babysitter for the day. Then you can concentrate on organizing and handling all the details of the moving day without having your baby under your arm. If you aren’t having friends over to help, it’s a good idea to hire a sitter for that day so that you can get all of your boxes put into the right rooms and settle things with your movers. This way, you are free to make sure that all details go without a hitch.

Set up the baby room first:

This is where those non-essential baby items make their debut in your new home. Once everything has been loaded into the house, unpack and set up the baby’s room first. You now have somewhere for the baby to play or sleep while you handle the rest of your rooms during the move. Your family, friends, or sitter can quickly get your baby adjusted to the new settings. If they baby is calm and occupied, you can focus, and the baby is less stressed.

Get organized:

This move can be stressful enough, buy a calendar and notepad to get started. Break everything down into steps. Create baby safe-zones in all areas of the house so as you are packing, you don’t have to worry about your baby getting into things. You don’t want to worry about having to find your baby’s favorite blanket in some random box either. Organization keeps the baby and you peaceful.

Following these few tips will help make your move easier with your little one!
