Why quality means so much to us

Quality is a purely human concept. Although there are animals that can differentiate between what is good quality and what isn’t in the game of courting, it's not on our level. For one thing, to animals quality is mostly superficial as the aesthetics are usually the only thing they can go by. However, for us, it's a deeper meaning that quality has in our lives. Quality is a measurement of greatness. The opposite of greatness is something that’s pathetic and weak. In terms of survival, something that is weak is not going to manage to make it to the next morning. So this deep evolutionary system of judgement is very important to us because we can acknowledge and understand what is and isn’t good for us. We consciously make decisions that are purely based on our version of what quality is. Subconsciously we also base our lifestyles on this concept without realizing how that affects us.

Quality of life

Take us down to our most honest level, and we can all admit without prejudice that we are searching for quality of life. We only get a short time on this earth which in comparison to how long the universe has existed, is incredibly miniscule. It's a kind of desperation to try and find meaning and comfort that indicates to us that we are in fact living a quality life; quality in the fact that it's worthwhile. Some psychologists have expressed this as some form of desperation which rings home true to many people. We know our time is limited, so we try to make sure we live with a purpose. Don’t you ever feel like you want to make every day count, but you get lost in the monotony of life? To give us continual meaning without having to think about or take actions that would achieve a better life, we often turn to things like religion, superstition and arbitrary moral compasses.

Wish you had more control?

The spiritual world can only give you satisfaction for so long; the real world will always catch up to you. Think about what affects us the most on a daily basis, and you’ll realize that it's products and services. Quality is incremental in every business model because if we the consumers aren’t offered quality, why would be pay any attention to that business? We don't just buy things because they make us feel better or give us the joy to use, but because they make positive changes in our lives. You could be a part of the conversation about how this happens in many ways. You can leave reviews of your experiences, start a website or a blog and do your own reviews on there or take an online supply chain management course. The course will teach you the importance of the global supply chain and the effect it has on every consumer. It's completely online, so you can learn straight from your home or on the move. It's fully supported by the Accredited Council for Business Schools and Programs.

There isn’t a single reason for why quality matters to us. It stems from the need to make sure we value every second of life we have. It filters through to business and the things we use in life to achieve a better more comfortable living.
