Protect your Marriage
There are so many dangers out there that will try to take your marriage away from you, there are so many porn sites that make men/women think they can find more, or have fun looking..
The grass is not always greener on the other side...  in fact appreciate what you have because if you throw it away, some one else will take that precious gift and love and nurture them for the rest of their life.
Appreciate your Happily Ever after- no it is not a bed of roses all the time, and it takes work and lots of it, but you can make it last.
Remember to Date your spouse, communicate to them, Fall in love with him or her every day, all over again and again, never say the D word, do not talk negative to other people about him, keep your life in this order: God, husband/wife and kids, Respect your marriage and your spouse, learn their love language, have lots of sex and lastly protect your marriage, don't let anything take it from you.

Song of Solomon 1:2
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—for your love is more delightful than wine.

32 things for my 32nd birthday

32 Things I have learnt in my 32 years of life.

In case you didn't know today I turn 32

I wanted to post some thoughts and things I realize at 32

1) Make every day count, more and more we hear of young mom's and wives are passing from this world at a young age.

2) Love Jesus- he really is the only one who will see us thru and never ever leave us

3) Not everyone will love you or like you

4) Smile- there is something every day toe mile about

5)  I am the architect of my life; I build its foundation and choose its contents.

6) I forgive those who have harmed me in my past and peacefully detach from them.

7) I am married to the greatest man in the World, single ladies you can never find the perfect man because I have found him, I'm serious my husband is the greatest thing to happen to me.

8) My marriage is becoming stronger, deeper, and more stable each day.

9) Happiness is a choice. I base my happiness on my own accomplishments and the blessings I've been given.

10) I am blessed with an incredible family and wonderful friends.

11) I acknowledge my own self-worth; my confidence is soaring.
12) Everything that is happening now is happening for my ultimate good.
13) I am at peace with all that has happened, is happening, and will happen.
14) Your life can be what you want it to be. Take the days just one at a time. Count your blessings, not your troubles. Be present and live in the moment.
15) Nothing lasts forever; this too will pass. Know that you will make it through whatever struggle comes your way. Don’t put limits on yourself. So many opportunities are waiting to be realized.  Decisions are too important to leave to chance. You are human, making mistakes is inevitable, they help you grow.
16) don’t ever forget…even for a day…How special you are. That you exist in this world, and therefore you matter. That you have a voice, and have the right to speak. You are seen and heard.
17)  I'll ask more of my husband than he'll ever ask of me. I actually think this is a truth in most relationships.
18)  Surround yourself with people who love you and want you to be happy. Not the ones that are miserable and want you to be miserable, too.
19) Family time should be cherished and held near and dear to your heart. The time I spend with my family is one of my most treasured possessions.
20) Living in gratitude for the things you already have is the first step to happiness. This goes for physical, spiritual and relationship matters.
21) It is never to late to fulfill your dreams- I am going back to school at 32 years of age
22)I don’t like any nuts in any dessert.  I love a good mixed nut bowl and I love desserts but I don’t love them together!
23) I love people, I love to help people and share my life etc.
24) I love road trips-for my 31 birthday we visited 8 states during 3 weeks of travel, my husband, baby girl and I- we had the best time.
25) I am now a coffee drinker- this is new ;)
26) I am addicted to Netflix
27) Love Republic of Doyle, Downton Abbey, Heartland, Hockey
28) I love food
29) I have been married for 12 years to my best friend
30) Men and women think differently. Learning to communicate in the opposite sex's language is essential for relationship success. It goes both ways.
31) Catty women have deep issues. Don't let their misery bring you down. Bless and release them.
32) Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Self Worth- Wednesdays for Women

Self Worth

Wikipedia: Self-esteem is a term used in sociology and psychology to reflect a person's overall emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is a judgment of oneself as well as an attitude toward the self.

When you feel down and you begin to get down further and further, you need to find a way to lift your self up, find something that would make you happy, for me it is a hair appointment or a nail appointment, it leaves me feeling happy and and good about myself.

As a younger girl I had no self worth, I had no feelings of good about myself, I felt like everyone was out to get me and they were always talking about me.

but in truth they were not, they were my friends, they were not out to get me, it was lies from the enemy, the enemy comes in and tries to bombard us with these thoughts, we need to let him know that he has no part in our lives and we need to kick him hard.

We need to like ourselves, we need to let our friends be our friends, they are our friends because they like us not because they are out to her us, if that was the case they would not be there for you when you needed them.
You also can turn to Jesus because he is closer then any friend or family member, he loves us no matter what we look like, our skin colour, our language spoken etc, he loves us all the same.

We do not need to worry about the pre approval of others, we are special just the way we are.

4 years

Today marks 4 years since they told me i might not make it

July 2, 2010 I was walking thru the mall with my daughter when suddenly I got a weird pain like feeling on the right side of my chest, i kinda got a scare bc it hit me suddenly, so I did try to walk the pain off, the more I walked the worst it was, I went into the pharmacy to see if he had any suggestions, he took one look at me and made me sit down because I looked very miserable and clammy he said , he suggested he wanted to get me to the ER and when i told him what i felt like he called my hubby for me and he came to get me and took me right to the ER, they took one look at me and whisked me back to have a dr check me right away... it was a very scary night for me, the doctor came in and asked some questions, did some test and then he diagnosed me with Leukaemia they admitted me as well....I lost my mind, I called my parents, they were heart broken, friends and family far and near sent their thoughts.. all the while thinking I had this disease that no one wants to hear about..

4 days in, I asked for a second opinion...

thankfully the dr was able to do some test and told me that i had a growth on my chest cavity, blocking my breathing tube to my heart... it sounded very scary but it was no Leukaemia...
She said she would like to do a biopsy and she didn't feel comfortable in putting me under, i was to stay awake.
The morning of the biopsy, I was freaking out because I knew this was going to be painful... went to the OR and it was bustling with many doctors and nurses, they had me lay on my belly, strapped to a bed bc if i moved it could puncture my lung, I laid there so still yet in so much pain, i tried to take my mind off what was going on..yet to hear the doctors around me talking about it, listening to them prepare the needle to freeze me, the needle nearly drove me crazy it was massive and i could hear and see everything..
then they finally had the needle in and was talking amongst themselves and how they cannot drain it because its in a weird spot, so they had two needles going by now and they were finally able to drain some of it off, the smell and the odour was gross, i didn't like being alone during this but off course no one could come in there with me.. they did drain a big bottle off and told me i would have no more pain...

well before the night was over my pain was back...

they felt at a lost at that point, they did bring a surgeon in and she was scared to do the surgery bc it was very risky... but without it I would be in constant pain..
I told them I wanted to go ahead with it..they sent me home bc I would have a couple week to wait for surgery.. I was back and forth to the hospital for pain control, missing a lot of time from work, even one time I had to take a ambulance from work, I couldn't breathe

October 6 was the day I was to go for my surgery, i quit my job on October 4th because I never knew what the outcome was going to be...
My family were all here, they couldn't say for sure that I would pull thru this because it was so risky and so close to my heart
The surgery lasted for 12 hours, it was a very long time for my family who were waiting and not sure how it was going to work or if I would be with them again...8 pm that night they brought me out of surgery, I was on a breathing tube bc my lung had to be taken out and this growth cut off it, she got my lungs working again..

6 days later I was walking out of the hospital with a lot of drainage tubes, stitches etc, but to this day I have no had a problem with it, the doctor was so amazing, she even now asks how I am doing, I am so thankful that this part of my life is done...

From that day, i realized it helps to have a second opinion because at first glance, they can be wrong and thankfully he was.  after my check up last year she said she didn't need to see me again because it was all gone and she was 100% sure it wouldn't come back.

I'm thankful, so thankful

Week 9- Sex

SEX
is very important to any marriage, it brings couples closer,
Don't just have sex because he is always asking, NO, do it because you are in love with him, don't complain to him because he wants sex AGAIN... satisfy his needs and enjoy, try new things with him, show him how much you mean to him, wear something sexy for him, but don't complain over sex, a lot of people wish they had a partner to have sex with, don't take him for granted.

There are also health benefits to sex:
Relieves stress
Lowers blood pressure
boost immunity
provides exercise
burns calories
and there are a lot more

Hebrews 13:4-7

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.  Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"  Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
