Sleep, What's that?

Exhausted, yet cannot sleep
this is going on for a week today
I am getting 2-3 hours of sleep per night and I cannot FUNCTION

I have tried a lot of things:

chammonile tea
hot baths
warm milk
sleepy time tea
no electronics
melatonin
sleep-eze
Pray
fan blowing
white noise

Yet, I here I am
asking for one night, just one night of peaceful sleep.

Tonight when I got home from work, I should have gone right to bed, but i made dinner, hung out for a bit, then I goes to bed at 9:20 and it is 12:30 am and i am still awake...
I am crying over everything now and I feel so sick to my stomach because I am so tired
I am short with people because of this, not good at my work when I deal with customers all day long.

It's so hard, why must sleep treat me like this??

Please share your sleeping tips with me, I need it.

  1. I wish I could answer your question but I suffer from the same thing. Good luck in finding a solution.

  2. My husband suffers from this and he uses Melatonin and Valerian root to sleep.

  3. :( Have you tried the all-natural sleep supplement from Hylands? Honestly, I don't know if it works, but they sent us a big sample pack one time full of things and that was in there. If I had it I'd mail it to you, but I gave it to my MIL and she said she liked it. That's been awhile ago now.

I hope you get some much needed sleep soon!

  6. Get into a routine, and go to bed at the same time every night. Make sure you get at least 8 hrs of sleep a night. Once you get your body into a routine, it will be easier. In the meantime, melatonin may help!

  7. Not sure that I can really help but in addition to Melatonin in the evening have you thought about adding Vitamin D (or light therapy) in the morning. It is possible you need more of the sunshine vitamin as we are lacking this in the north this time of year. This should help your body get into a more natural state of wakefulness and sleep.
