Marriage Monday
Today we are talking about fighting in marriage- not a lot of people will admit that they fight, why because they think it makes their marriage look weak but this isn't the case, some 'fighting' is healthy. 

We have been married for 12 years and we seldom fight, we may disagree and we don't always see eye to eye, there are disagreements but we talk it over. 

Fighting with your suppose is normal, it is always fun to make up
if you do fight, do it in a calm manner, there is no reason to yell or scream, call him/her names, we are adults here, not children in elementary school 

What qualifies as fighting fair in marriage essentially comes down to how each partner feels when they leave the ring. If both are hearty "boxers" who love a few rounds in the ring and then are ready for some make-up sex, the marriage is probably fine.

Some tips on how to "fight fair"

1) Do not bring up past fights- remember you forgave him/her for that and like Jesus, we need to forget, if you bring it up it shows you didn't truly forgive

2) Always walk away if things are getting very heated and you could say things that you will regret. 

3) Keep your fights to yourself- your friends or family do not need to know about the fight you had.. if you need to talk to someone, talk to a Pastor, councillor there are a lot of options other then the family/friends. 

4) If they do not want to talk- do not force them. They will come to you when they are ready to discuss or maybe they don't feel the need to re-ash it again and they let it go.

  1. My husband and I are separated now but when we were together we fought about everyday things like who is doing the dishes, and other chores that needed to be done.

  2. Those are good tips. I agree that fighting once in a while is normal. How you go about it can strengthen or weaken your relationship.

  4. I love the keeping your fights to yourself. There's been so many times when a friend comes to me with their fight issues and of course I want to side with her but I also feel so sorry.
