3 Resolutions Everyone Should Make in 2019

A new year is upon us! That means that we must bid 2018 a fond farewell and think
about what we have accomplished over the past 12 months. Did you make any New
Year’s resolutions for 2018 – and if so, how did they fare? The start of a new year is a
great time to pledge to work on ourselves and our lives and refresh our perspective on
things. Let’s take a look at three resolutions that everyone should make in 2019 and vow
to make this year one of the best yet!

1. Pay Closer Attention to Your Health
You should always keep your health in mind, but I think you should consider keeping
closer tabs on how you’re feeling in 2019. You might even pick up something like yoga!
Many people think that yoga seems far too difficult for them to do on a regular basis, but
it’s truly a customizable activity. You can even do yoga sitting in a chair if you are low
on mobility or need to improve your flexibility! The best thing about yoga, however, is
that it can help find “problem areas” in your body and work on determining where the
pain is coming from.

Yoga can also help you pinpoint troublesome foods. The things that you eat will have an
impact on how you feel while working through your yoga exercises, which means that if
something doesn’t agree with you, you’ll know it pretty quickly!

2. Figure Out How You Sleep Best
The posture you use while sleeping can impact the way you feel when you wake up,
especially if you’re using the wrong mattress. The goal is to find an option that promotes
spine alignment while you’re sleeping, not one that allows your body to “sink” into the
mattress in question. It’s worth determining the position in which you sleep, then, to
figure out if your sleep is contributing to any pain issues you might be dealing with. This
can also help you improve your overall sleep quality, boosting energy and mood levels
alike.

3. Improve Your Home
Homeownership comes with many responsibilities. One of the most important is to keep
an eye on the house and determine whether or not you need to fix anything. Don’t let
these tasks build up! Instead of allowing your to-do list to become exhausting, why not
take a little bit of time every month and do something simple to improve your home?
Whether you’re having an appliance repaired, cleaning windows, freshening up the paint

in your living room, or repairing your sidewalk, every action you take will help improve
your home and make it a nicer place to be.

What are your New Year’s resolutions? Whatever they may be, make sure that you start
small enough to allow yourself to succeed! Don’t try changing the entirety of your
lifestyle overnight. Start with small steps that lead up to that ultimate goal. The gradual
climb keeps your momentum and positivity flowing. Welcome the new year with
resolutions to improve your life!
