Grief is Exhausting

Grief is exhausting. It isn't just an emotional weight but a physical one, too. Every moment feels like you're carrying a heavy burden, and the fatigue that accompanies it often feels overwhelming. It's not the kind of tired you can sleep off; it's the deep, soul-depleting tiredness that lingers, even after a full night’s rest.

Grief seeps into everything. It affects your energy, your ability to focus, and sometimes, even your desire to do anything at all. The emotional toll can be so intense that it takes every ounce of strength just to get through the day. There may be moments when you're left wondering if you'll ever feel "normal" again, if the constant tiredness will ever fade.

But in the midst of this exhaustion, it's important to remember that it's okay to be tired. It's okay to rest and acknowledge that grief is a journey, not a sprint. Healing takes time, and it's okay to take breaks, to let yourself feel and be worn out. You don't have to be constantly moving forward or "fixing" how you feel. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is allow yourself to be exactly where you are—tired, grieving, and slowly finding your way through it.
