The real meaning

Easter:

What does it mean to you?
Are you one of those people who only goes to church for Easter or Christmas?

When i think about Easter, i get very emotional because i think about what Jesus went thru for us..

He didn't hesitate, he hung on the cross, he was in so much pain- yet he didn't get him self down because if he wanted to he could have stopped this, he didn't HAVE to die for me, he died because he loved me as a sinner, now he loves me still as a christian.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

Then i think about Mary his mother-

as a mother myself, i cannot imagine watching your only child hanging there being mocked and criticized, the feeling she must have had to watch him hang there, with each passing second he was closer to dying, the blood ran out of his body, he had nails in his hands and feet, a crown of thorns on his head( i cannot imagine how that must have felt, i have had a splinter in my finger before and that hurt alot but nothing like thorns would feel- yet he did that for ME...

Then i think about how he did it for me-

HE was without sin, yet he went thru this pain and torture because he loved me, no one else loved me or could ever love me the way Jesus does.  NO one could love me like he does, any other human being cannot love me as much as he does. His love spans the world, he loves us all.

He loves the sinner, he loves the murderer, he loves the thief, he loves the kid who disobeys, he loves the reject, he loves the atheist, there is not one person in the world who he don't love.  AT times you may feel that he don't love you anymore, he always loves you, his love isn't based on the mood he is in today or what the weather is like, he LOVES us all so much, there is no way i can say how much he loves us.

Easter is becoming to commercialized - like everything else, it is now a day to decorate ( not that there is anything wrong), but like Christmas we see how much money we can spend and if we can give more to our kids then what the neighbours kids has.  It isn't about spending money, it is about his death, burial and Resurrection.

I will buy Easter treats for Brooke and i will likely hide the eggs for her to find but
but i will also take her to church on sunday, she knows how he died for us, but she also knows how he rose again.

Hope you have a great easter

Mark 16:2-6

And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

Weekend Recap

Friday:  Another great day at work, they also gave me my completion date.... April 5th i am done, i want this contract would get extended but so far it isn't happening.
I took a pregnancy test, not that we are trying or anything, I've been feeling sick every morning and have puked every morning for the last 5, it was a relief when it showed up negative.
hubby went to get Jaredene so she could come over for the weekend :) i love having her here, she is so helpful to me. Made chicken fajitas and Caesar salad for dinner after work, we didn't do  much of anything really Friday night, just relaxed, it was nice, Friday nights usually mean crazy times, but it was nice to do nothing

Saturday: We were invited to a breakfast with a friend but hubby was up all night sick so we had to cancel it, i felt bad but he wouldn't been much company.
I slept really late on Saturday to embarrassed to tell the time :p
We had to go do errands and get things ready for the birthday party at church on Sunday.
We had nachos and wings for dinner  and apple pie for dessert.
Saturday night i introduced jaredene to the me who loves hockey- she hasn't been here when i have watched hockey before..
i think she got bored because she asked Brooke to go watch a Disney movie with her, haha. my boys lost so we wont talk about that ( right Melissa:p )

Sunday: very early morning again, i had to be at Church by 8:30 to prepare for our Pastors birthday party which i took no pictures of, i was so busy.
we made a turkey dinner and apple pie with ice cream for dessert, it was so good. the ladies are such good cooks here.
We got our new bed delivered in the afternoon, spent time putting that together and hoping for a good night sleep tonight.

Hope your weekend was great as well :)

Love No matter what...

This book is defently on the top 10 of parenting books
It talks about how we should love our kids no matter what

Brenda shares her story as a mom and shares the stories of twelve other families in her book.  I hope this does not sound bad, but some of these stories are heart breaking and it really makes you realize you could have it so much worse.
a season of life where I am always second guessing my parenting and wondering if I am doing the right thing.  Brenda gives great practical advice on what to do and when to step back and let your children make mistakes.

3.22.2013

and yet another...

Thursday morning was supposed to be just another day at work, the full time admin was off for half the day and I would fill in for her; that is until the flare up hit me at 9 pm wednesday night while still at church.
I took 2 ativan to relax my bladder and high hope of it settling down on its own, by the time I got home it was a lot worst so I gave in and took morphine which did nothing for me, I knew then I needed something more and that would require Medical personnel to help me.
Woke hubby up to take me to the ER, it was just after 1 am when I got there, the nurse I had the last 2 times so she knew me and got right to work . The nurse came in my room to get me settled, gave me a warm blanket and if pain wasn't so bad I could have slept, shortly there after the doctor came in, dr Giovanni he ordered morphine to get the pain gone, nurse came in to give me the injection in my hip, within minutes I felt a relief, I then wanted to get home so I could be ready for work by 6:30 am, they wouldn't let me go right away so when I got thome it was after 5:30 and alarm went of at 6:30, I got up and started getting ready, then the nausea hit, I puked several times and that's when I knew I wouldn't be going to work in the morning but woukld try for the afterboon, called in sick and went back to sleep. Hubby was coming home to get me for 12- while I was getting ready again I got sick so I text him and told him and we decided I'd stay home all day...

I dont mean to complain, in fact that is not my intent at all, i would love to know what triggers these attacks and how they only hit me at bed time, when i get in bed is when i feel the attacks, i don't know how my body knows its bed time and it means sleep so now we attack... 2 weeks ago i found out orange juice and oranges was a big trigger, now i am staying away from them completely, it is very hard to do because i love anything Orange, i have also stayed away from spicy foods, mexican foods, anything with acid or citrus, i am a big fruit person and i miss being able to grab and apple to snack on, the only fruit i can have now are blue berries which is fine but they get old and not in season now so there are no fresh ones. {sigh}

I am 99% sure this was all caused by my IUD being put in, or not caused but triggered, i am still doing more research.

Ya know this diease is a mean one, it hits you anytime it wants with no warning. I'm so tired of fighting this, there is no cure, I am ready to have my bladder removed, that's how bad this is.

The ABC's of dealing with Difficult People

Found this in a magazine from our church and it so awesome and some great advice:

A -Apologize first.  We all make errors because we are human. Be quick to say I'm sorry
B- Set Boundaries.  People can only drive you nuts if you allow them too
C- Be Cheerful. Negative Nellie's don't like to be around cheerful people, they will either change their attitude or their address- either way you win
D- Choose to Dwell on good things {Philippians 4:8}
E- Enjoy life
F- Forgive others easily. even.if.they.don't.ask. God forgives us as we freely forgive your brothers and sister and if you make as many mistakes as i do. You need this constant forgiveness flow
G- Have a grateful heart. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.  We do not become as easily agitated when we are busy counting out blessings and giving thanks
H- Be holy.  It is easier said than done- but strive to interact with others as Jesus would, not only in face to face interactions but in emails, on Facebook, and on other social media venues. We are responsible for what we say and do and type
I- have an I can do this spirit. {Philippians 4:13} cheers us on: I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.
J- Sometimes we forget that we simply need to ask Jesus for help He can soften a persons attitude when nothing else seems to work.  I have never liked the expression " Kill them with Kindness because it sounds so violent.
K- Kindness is an act of godliness, and i have never been disappointed by the response i have received when i have extended kindness.
L- Love truly bears all things, believes all things, hopes all thing, endures all things {1 Corinthians 13:7}.  The bible instructs us to love our neighbour, Scripture is clear that God is not impressed when we love people who love us.  However, when we do the hard work of loving those who are not easy to love, he takes notice {1 Peter 2:17-20}God has high expectations of his people.  He expects us to reflect the fruit of the spirit  which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith.
M- meekness, and temperance {Galatians 5:22-23}. Notice all nine characteristics make up the singular fruit, God knew that the key to dealing with difficult people is by reflecting the total fruit of the spirit.
N- Never give up on broken humanity God did not.
O- be open and Transparent with others. it will make you vulnerable, but people, regardless of how difficult they can be, seem to react vulnerability the same- with compassion
P-  Philippians: When people are driving you crazy, read the book of Philippians.
Q- Don't be afraid to ask a questions, sometimes a questions if your best option to diffuse a situation. Remember, in every situation you can choose to remain
R- Respectful. . The word of God is true
S- a soft answer
Turns away
U ugly
V-vicious
W-wrath
X- Xanax- sometimes we stabilize our mood when scripture is the prescription we really need, enough said.
Y- YOU- remember you can only control you, Be the best you can be, you must give an account for you. Focus on your interactions and reactions as you deal with others.  Most of the time we get what we deserve and we reap what we sow. So, if you find your self dealing with difficult people ask yourself, am i also a difficult person?
Z-  there is no end to the things you might know depending on how far beyond Zebra you go.

So keep on loving difficult people, and God will keep on loving you .

Weekend Recap

Friday~Another great day at work...
Had a lunch date with my hunk of a hubby- we work so close together now that we have decided one day a week we can have lunch at the lunch. we were all so tired out we did nothing. I did however, do some cleaning, scrubbed floors, bathrooms etc.
Was in bed by midnight and sleep shortly after.

Saturday~ Another very exciting day for our bible quizzers. Our next tournament started at 10 am, Brooke and Destiny came in 2nd place again- so proud of my girls
Next tournament is 3 weeks away and we are hosting it at our church, so much to do before then.
My parents will be here for that one, Brooke is gonna love that.
We went grocery shopping and i had to go to wal mart to pick up a couple of items i needed for Sunday school, also got me a new skirt for $5, love the clearance rack:D
We then went to dinner with Destiny's parents, Jen and our family, we went to Montana's, i had the Ribs and wings- it was so amazingly delicious.  I was scared the sauce from the wings would cause a flair up but it didn't. after that Brooke went home with Destiny for a sleep over and hubby and i went to clean the church and do work on some things with Pastor. We got home and relaxed and got the hockey game started. I love hanging out with my hubby.

Sunday~
Sunday school today was nice, we had 4 girls and they are crafty kids so what we needed to do worked out well.
Our lesson was about "Jesus loves the little children"- we had them lay on big paper and we traced them then they decorated however they wanted, it was pretty awesome to watch them. We ran out of time though and couldn't do the craft of the day, but then we decorated cookies and then time was up. We came home for lunch today, it was just the three of us. after lunch I took a nap and slept much to long but needed it.

Tomorrow is back to work and i cannot wait.

Big News

I seldom blog on a friday night but i have so much that i want to get out and into this story of our lives so i better write it all out.

This week went by so quick, i have enjoyed my job so much, i just want a job like i am now, but i want it to be full time. They are so helpful and so nice, no one there is rude or mean... i would dream of a job like that, it is so refreshing to me to wake up in the morning and go to a job that i really enjoy.

So i have some big news:
it is big for me
Growing up i had a horrible fear of driving in a vehicle and always thought my daddy would fall asleep and cause us to get into a wreck, never ever happened.  when i was 17, i was headed to a church service with some other pastors and their wife and kids when we hit some ice and spun around many times, then went in the ditch, we were all shook up but no major injuries, that off course made my fear much worst.
I dont do well in a vehicle anymore, i make my husband crazy if we take a long trip or even a short trip, im scared he is gonna fall asleep.. has it happened ..Nope
This fear has kept me from getting my drivers license, i have permit and have driven car once, no desire to do it.
I made up my mind today that i am facing this fear and i am going to learn to drive, it cant be that hard..

So there ya have it, i will be a licensed driver soon, stay off the roads...

we were all laughing a lot, they are a sweet bunch.

So..
The girl i am admin assistant to, she is the branch admin- she told me she got her job there 4 years ago by a temp agency( same as me), she also has an interview tomorrow for another position within the company, so..........

Guess what I'm hoping
