Wednesdays for women
Sometimes i sit and think about my life!
Is it what i thought it would be
I ask...is this the career path i wanted to take.... my answer is simple for that one.. Absolutely not... i can see myself in a busy office somewhere as office manager, or a receptionist with lots of work to do, but yet here i am at a customer contact centre, listening to people gripe and complain every hour of every day, I would love a job that i truly enjoy, where i am happy and contenet to come to work. I am VERY THANKFUL for a job because there are a lot of people who dont have one.
Did you marry the man you knew was for you, or did you marry so you wouldnt be the only one not married among friends..
I can honestly say i married my high school love, I never think any differently, he is my one and only one.
Are you friends with people you know wants/need your friendship, life is to short to be fighting with so called 'friends', surrond yourself with positive people, people who will bring you up, be positive and you will feel positive.
Home Life and Kids: Do you live where you wanted to, can you be happy forever?
I look at it this way:
As long as we are in God's will life will be happy for us, sure it wont always be easy but it will always be happy.
I love hosting giveaways with friends, check this one it really is a good one
Have you heard of Natural Miracles? They are a great company that helps relieve your pain! How splendid is that? When I first heard about Inflamagic, I was skeptical.
I have been living with knee pain since I was 12. 12? 12, you ask? Yes, 12. When I was 12, I tore my right ACL {Anterior Cruciate Ligament} ice skating. Needless to say, 30 years ago, that ended my career; not that it was a promising one or anything. So, at age 12 I had my first ACL replacement surgery. I was given a donor tendon because they said at my age it would work better. At age 15, I had over-used my left knee so much I blew out that ACL and needed my second surgery. Again, they used a donor tendon. When I was a senior in high school and only had two months left, my left knee decided it no longer wanted to walk. Get this, not only did it decide to give out, but I collapsed right in front of an ex-boyfriend {and let's just say our break up was less than amicable}. How embarrassing. So, he graciously carried my to a friends car who then drove me home. It seems that my new left donor ACL had been rejected. I didn't even remember this being an option. Apparently, it was. Just link a kidney or liver being rejected, a tendon can be, too. So, in need of my 3rd knee surgery in less than 6 years. How fun it was to be me. I was less than 2 months away from walking at my graduation. No way I was missing that. So, we postponed my surgery until mid-June. Anyhow, here I am, still in constant knee pain. While it isn't constantly horrible, I always am aware of the pain. I am always looking for a new pain relief. Especially one that isn't all synthetic and made up of crazy names I cannot pronounce. When I first heard about Natural Miracles, I was so excited to try them. So excited I almost went and ordered something with next day shipping. Then, I decided I would wait for my box to try. Wow. Did this stuff work! About an hour after I took my first dose, I felt my knees had some relief. It felt like pressure was taken off of my knees and it wasn't painful climbing stairs. I was totally amazed that it worked so fast. When I took my second dose (that night), I was a little nervous that it wouldn't have the same impact as the first dose. It worked just as well. My pain was so mild I was able to forget about it. My knees didn't ache at night while I was trying to fall asleep. It was beautiful. I would suggest anyone suffering from pain, especially recurring pain, to try the Inflamagic. Or maybe the Remeeda. Remeeda is similar to Inflamagic, but you do not have to take it with a meal. A little more convenient for most, I would assume. Seems like a better option for those "on the go". Now that you've hear about my experience with Natural Miracles, go read these stories: Dawn, Janine, Lisa, Kym and Jay While your hopping around the web, stop by Natural Miracles and grab a box with 40% off! Just use DDBLOG at check out and 40% will be taken off your total. Don't forget to enter our great GIVEAWAY!

Welcome to the Twitter Hop!
10 years ago today, God blessed us with the most incredible little lady.
It is so hard to believe she is 10, it feels like yesterday that i was very very pregnant and wishing she was here.
Here is her birth story
I was 19 when I got married, Andrew 20, all I ever wanted was to get married and be a stay at home mom... So we decided we would work on that right away, some people choose to wait, we didn't and not once have been sorry!!!
We found out about Brooke in Nov of 2002 and wanted to wait til Christmas to tell our family, well that didn't work out like planned bc I got to sick and my mom was really worried... So we broke the news to her, there were tears of happiness all around....
It was a long nine months... I was sick and still in college, I had to take time of from school and be admitted in hospital, I had kidney stones and was so sick....
Andrew lost his job and we had to move to St John's, moved here at 8 months pregnant and had a time trying to find a doctor, found one I really disliked, he had no bedside manners, I was due Aug 12, 2003. I went to see him july 28 and he said I dilated 3 cm and would give birth early that morning, he also went ahead and stripped my membranes, I still really didn't think this was it, sure enough I woke at 630 am and needed to pee, before I stepped out of the bed, my water broke, I told Andrew I had peed my pants, he said no your water broke, I had no pain and had no reason to go to hospital, called my parents and told them I was in labor, SO I showered, ate, pack my bag(just in case), got to hospital around 8 am, they checked me and I am 6 cm dilated, they take me to labor and delivery, they told me to take a shower and relax, I had one of the best showers of all time, contractions were so much easier in the hot shower, once out of the shower I am 8 cm and ready to bring my baby into the world, with only her mom and dad there to meet our bundle of joy!
The nurse hurries to get a doctor to deliver my baby, no doctor makes it, she is delivered by an intern at 8:54 am after 15 mins of pushing, Brooke Lynn Grothe, 8lbs 4.1 ounces!! The nurse was so impressed and kept telling me to come back anytime, hahaha.
I consider myself to be a very blessed mother, I am blessed with a healthy baby girl who is my pride and joy!
Dear Brooke,
I can’t believe it and I wish I could turn the clock backwards to the first time I held you in my arms. I’ll never forget the way you smelled, your squishy little face, your head full of black hair, and the peach fuzz that covered your shoulders and ear lobes. You were smaller than I expected and even swaddled up, you felt so fragile and breakable to me. We knew before you came that you would be special so daddy and I had our guards up immediately. You were our precious baby girl, the one we had waited for, and the one who completed our family.
You are my heart and soul. Since the moment you came into this world, you have had an effect on mommy and daddy that is impossible to put into words. You have smiled since day one and I love the way you go after everything in life with such flare and optimism. I hope that you always allow your wonderful self to shine.
Do not let others tell you how to act or who to be.
Do not let others let you waiver from your own path. Above all else, do not let anyone make you feel anything other than amazing.
You are intelligent, sincere, empathetic, giving, creative, and oh so beautiful.
Know that you have been blessed with everything you need in life to succeed and find happiness. This world is an amazing and challenging place. It is yours to savor, navigate, and enjoy. Live each day with a sense of gratitude and life will honor your heart. I will be beside you every step of the way. I will hold your hand, cheer you on, pick you up, and watch you discover all that it means to be you.
I wish you the happiest of birthdays, Brooke Lynn . No matter how old, you’ll always my baby. I love you.
Love, Mama
