Weekend Recap ~ Halloween Edition

Friday:
I worked a whole day in very minimal pain - I may share my health issues at some point this coming week, maybe if you all behave ;)

We had Halloween at work, we went all out this year because it is the last year most of them will be together, i work at a chain hotel that just got purchased by Marriott which I'm sure you have heard of before
so come February we are no longer employed, I am there right now on a special project, I am not paid by either hotel, I am contracts as such to complete what was a three month contract but now it has been extended a couple times, and I am not complaining at all, I love my co workers and I hope I am there til Christmas Vacation.

So we all dressed up ( well I didn’t, because I am not a fan of Halloween), there was a haunted house, lots of treats, ice cream cake, it was a great day, the reception is pregnant so today was her gender reveal and it is a little boy, I need to remember to buy a present this weekend for said boy.

Here are some pictures:
1) Brooke dressed up as a nerd, her best friend dressed up to match so they were twin nerds.

My Co workers:

The Nerd, the Error 404, and the Pirate

I met Rod Stewart today ;)

After work I went to visit a friend who was in a very serious car crash last weekend, she is going to be ok but she has a long road of recovery ahead of her, she has had 2 surgeries and now she has to have more to get everything fixed up… it was so nice to visit with her and to see that she is still with us, yet sad at the same time to see the pain she is in and not be able to help her out of her pain, Keep her in your prayers please.

Hubby picked me up around 6 pm and we went to eat dinner, we tried a couple of places and every restaurant was so busy so we finally wen to the mall food court, so romantic eh, it was yummy food and so nice to get out with him, we haven’t had a date night in a few weeks because our weekends have been busy.
I had a norwex party at 8 pm on Facebook, and then we stayed up til 1 am watching hockey, late night with my love, but it was fun.
Brooke had a sleep over with her best friend so they could do halloween together.

Saturday:
Hubby and I stayed up far to late Friday night- we were like teenagers, watching movies and laughing together, so we had a late start to our day, we got in town around 3 pm, I needed to go to Costco to purchase some things, christmas has arrived, the stores are getting it all out and ready to go.

When we got home I cleaned house, made some dinner while hubby did some chores around the house, like replacing the door handle, fixing the dryer... then I made a snack for later, my friend Rachel came over to spend the night and visit, this girl makes me laugh like one else ever has, she is so funny

We ate food, she did homework while I watched hockey, then we chatted late into the night, but score because we got that extra hour of sleep

Sunday:
Morning service and the we had a leadership meeting, I had a friend buy me a beautiful brown purse and some gorgeous hats, it was so nice to feel loved. Came home and did some resting, then went to pick up Brooke at her friend's house and even service.

Another week is started.

  1. Sounds like a busy but fun weekend!! Praying that your friend won't need anymore surgeries and that as she endures through this season of pain it would drive her to the foot of the cross.
