Wednesdays for Women

To Uplift and Encourage

So You Want To Be Great Do you ....
This got me thinking of a quote I read today…”you bring out the best in yourself by looking for the best in others” …and I thought, how lovely is that.  It’s the law of the harvest. Good begets good. You can’t help but bring out the good in yourself when you are focused on looking for it in others because what you sow you will reap.
Phillippians 2:3-4  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
You can’t help but be happy and content when you are looking out for others well-being. We seem to think we have to take care of ourselves first, but the laws of God tell us quite the opposite. This business of survival of the fittest is for the natural world. In the spiritual world, God’s world, we are to look out for each other and protect the weak, not devour them.
Selfish people are the most miserable. They are rarely happy because their focus is on self and on what they are not getting out of life. They don’t get because they don’t give. They don’t understand the law of the harvest. The more they fight for their own selves the more miserable they become. It’s a vicious cycle.   If you want to be happy, make others happy. You see, if you busy yourself doings God’s will then He will take care of all your needs. Luke 12:31  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
