You’ll have dreamt about your wedding day for years and years. You’ll have the perfect picture in your head of how you’d like it to go. Chances are, you’ll have everything planned to a T already. But when it comes to actually putting all the pieces together, it can become a little nerve wracking. But don’t let it stress you too much, when the day finally does come, everything will go just as it’s meant to. Take a look at these tips to help make your day magical.

Beforehand

The key is to begin your preparation early. No doubt you’d already started thinking of venues and dresses the moment the question was popped. But try putting them into motion as soon as you can. Ringing venues as early as possible is key. Most of the time, they’re booked up well into the next year. With that in mind, you’re most likely going to have an ideal time you would like to get married. Don’t panic if the venue you’ve always dreamed of is booked up. Look around for ones that are really similar, you may fall in love with someone completely different. If you feel like it’s all a little too stressful, why not hire a wedding planner to help you with the bigger details. Try searching through sites such as Snupit for a reputable planner. It’ll give you time to focus on the finer details.

Picking your bridesmaids is one of the most exciting parts. Your friends, or even relatives will be ecstatic to be chosen. Again, try and do this as early as possible. They’ll have a big hen party to plan, so giving them enough time is essential. Once you’ve chosen them, you can then begin looking for wedding dresses. Go to a few fittings and find your dream style. But save purchasing the actual dress until closer to the time. Your weight may fluctuate in the meantime, or it is common for the bride to be to become pregnant. So it’s best to wait until around a month before to make the purchase. Once the venue, dress style, bridesmaids, and hen party are sorted, it’s on to the main event.

The big Day

Now you’re past all the hard details, it’s time to relax and just enjoy your day. They’ll be that many things happening, it’ll be hard to take it all in. Make sure you have someone taking photographs of the whole day. From you and your bridesmaids getting ready, to the last person stumbling from the reception. Try and have a pamper filled morning. You’ll obviously have someone doing your hair and makeup, but try and pamper yourself beforehand. Have a long hot soak in the bath, a refreshing face mask, and be sure to eat plenty. Dress fitters recommend on the day to have a good breakfast, and even a snack if your ceremony isn’t until later on. So many brides don’t eat out of nerves on the day, and even a few days beforehand. This leads to the dress being looser than it was at the fitting, and a last minute nightmare.
